    That’s ridiculous.

it’s to make sure they are properly penalised (rightly or wrongly)

they were told that if the 12 point penalty would relegate them this season it would be applied this season. If they survived by more than 12 points, it would be applied next season. This was to make sure they couldn’t have the penalty this year and still avoid relegation (which they would have done) and basically got off scot free.

the how’s and why’s of how they got into administration are a separate and dodgy conversation.

Not disputing that at all. I just think that if a PSG side who never stepped out of second gear and changed the entire side at half time can walk all over Celtic then it's not exactly a good omen.

I know there's a wee love affair with 'Lenny' on here but I have watched 2 pre season games and Celtic looked very poor. If I was Der Hun I would be pleased. Celtic do not look like a dominant team at all.

I definitely can't be accused of having a love affair with anything Celtic related (take a wee look at the "clubs that Hibs have a positive association with" thread ). I just can't see any Scottish team finishing above them.

I'm not sure if Villa staying up is good news or not, regarding McGinn?

What the hell has happened to John McGinn? What have they done to him? Half the player he was. Looks slow
He's had a broken ankle, it takes more than a few games to get back to speed after that. Doesn't suddenly become half the player.

What a load of nonsense. Rangers wouldn’t be doing any better.

There were a few on here that thought Lennon going back there meant Rangers would win the league last year. That didn’t happen either.

    Is it nonsense Andy?

Tell you what seeing as how you're absolutely sure, if Celtic piss the league comfortably then you can bring this up over and over again to your hearts content.

If not then I will revert back to this 'nonsense' statement.

Also this isn't last year, it's this year now. Things change

It is your assessment based on a couple of friendlies that is nonsense.

I couldn’t care either way who wins the league if it’s not us but a game against PSG isn’t telling us anything on that front.

DR reporting Neil Lennon and Neymar in bust up during PSG v Celtic Friendly

Sounds like a case of ‘handbags’ - Neymar was hooked at half-time but the damage was already done

I know they’re world class teams he’s played for, but Celtic V Neymar’s teams aggregate score is 28-2 over 6 games apparently. Atrocious.

He’s been back since before the restart. He’s been playing. He’s been decidedly average. He’s certainly not the player that went south. I don’t think slower and not covering as much ground has anything to do with his injury.

He’s bulked up more don’t know if that’s a result of the injury and concentrating on upper body in the gym?!? He’s still a first pick though you don’t lose the talent.

Yeah, he is much better than that player. Just in a bad patch of form.

Read recently that McGinn had recovered from his broken ankle pre lockdown and was due to be in their squad for the game that ended up postponed, due to lockdown. They then discovered, right at the start of lockdown that he had a hairline fracture in his shin which meant he didn’t train for the majority of lockdown.

I think his poor form is predominantly down to fitness. In the first half of the season he was doing exactly what he did up here, just at a higher level.

Villa play a reasonably conservative game so when he plays as one of the central midfieders he is shackled to an extent. Much better second half when pushed further forward.

Everyone has been talking about mcginn and grealish moving in the summer but i wouldnt be surprised if big teams are sniffing around douglas luiz.

Sets up great final day on Sun. If Watford go down then sacking manager won't look too clever. Think too close to call with Villa, Bounmouth and Watford all in the mix.

I can't see how Bournemouth can stay up, I think they're gone.

I also think Watford's gone now, they really need something away to Arsenal now and I can't see them doing that.

I reckon Aston Villa will now stay up.

Just what I was saying during the match. He's been excellent since the restart. Good to see McGinn come on to something like a game in the 2nd half.

Hopefully Arsenal will be much better than that on Sunday.
