Pride is great and all but titles are better.
Last night should've been a game that Liverpool proved to Man City why they were champions but they were very poor, especially defensively where they were the best in the league. Yes the league is won but there's still a record points total to aim for and professional pride at stake against the team you've just taken the title from.

Liverpool are 20 points clear, they don't need to prove anything to anyone. They currently hold the champions league, premier league, european super cup and club world cup. City hold the league cup and the beat Liverpool in an irrelevant game cup.

They have had Cities number at Anfield and beat them in the champions league a few years ago. They will get over 1 loss.

Have you seen the points gap? We haven’t just pipped City on goal difference. Liverpool have nothing to prove as to why they are champions.
It was a disappointing result but the physcology of already having it won would have played a part too.

I don't think Liverpool will concern themselves much about that result. I know I wouldn't if Hibs were in a similar position.

On a side note, how many teams have had a guard of honour and then been pumped? Seems to happen quite often.

And the fact they were probably still half pished from last week

Yep totally agree. I feel that will give Manchester City a psychological boost and perhaps even a psychological edge over Liverpool ahead of next season.

They'll know where to hurt them, other clubs will have watched last night's game too.

Big opportunity missed last night for the Scousers, I feel.

Could easily just say Liverpool winning the title by a record margin will give them an edge over City. Its all meaningless bull**** really.

Mate, I'm an Evertonian and believe me when I say that a Liverpool league win was not what I wanted but that is some clutching at straws you are doing. Both Liverpool and City have been great to watch but Liverpool were the better team over the season by some distance. I think their 20 point margin will be at least an equal psychology edge than losing one game

It's your usual go to emoji.

I've said my piece about last night's game and so have you, I really can't be ersed going back and forth about it.

Ah, I see. I feel in that case that The firm Everton have been showing will be a huge psychology advantage over everyone for next season!!

City won't be playing against a hungover Liverpool team next season.

Ah there you are, I was wondering where you were.

Not hurting at all my friend, if Liverpool's going to win the title once every 30 years I'm sure I can live with that.

Watching Fleetwood Wycombe in the play off semi.

    John souttar's brother plays for fleetwood. He's a big unit....though they're getting beat 1-4.
Joey barton is fleetwood manager, so nice to see them getting beat.

In fairness, top marks for the Fleetwood fans who have a posse of mannequins behind the goal!

Great turnaround from United going into half time. They are frightening on the attack.

They are indeed - in-form team in the league.

    Sublime from Martial!

Mason Greenwood is some talent for an 18yr old, so many attacking options, Vidic coming back allows them to play this way.
