    I’m expecting

    .........................Maxwell...............

    Whittikar....McGregor....Jackson....James....

    ........................Mallan............
    .................Vela..........Allan........

    Boyle...................................Newell.... .

    ........................Doidge...........

Maybe Fraser in for Vela if it’s too early. Horgan and Hanlon rested
    Probably.

    Could be either goalie.

First choice fullbacks are injured so Whittaker and James in there.

Arbroath scored against us with long balls over the top. Choice of centre backs need to reflect this.

Think it will be 4-3-3 so Mallan, Murray and Allan in the middle.

Not sure who will the front 3. Suspect Doidge over Flo.

I’ve been saying today, Vela will not feature tomorrow evening.

    He won’t, really he won’t.

Well I’m saying he will! 😁

The guy will need some minutes in order to be ready for the St Mirren game which is less than 2 weeks away.

Hibs did tweet the below. Understand that doesn't mean he will 100% be quoted tomorrow evening.

Reckon he'll be on the bench

You can blame me for cursing it later tonight but i think we'll win comfortably. 3-0.

It'll be the same for both teams. You would hope that Hibs would be fitter, even at this stage of the season, than a team of part timers.

    Yup. Will suit Hibs better.

  13. #42
Well we should know about their strengths having played them pre season.

I saw enough 2nd half Saturday to think we will be better tonight. Getting an early goal against these teams that sit in always helps.

Fitness wise - some part time teams can be just as fit. I do agree though the full time teams should be miles ahead.

Hopefully see Vela at some point (who won’t be match fit).

This is a must win - simple.

Hibs will win this. No sweat. Not had a settled 11 yet and when we get going we'll run these types of teams ragged.

Is the family ticket available again for tonight as well?

  16. #45
We’ll devour those two bit Tam impersonators without even breaking sweat but many here will say ‘that sort of performance doesn’t bode well for the rest of the season’. While missing the point that it doesn’t need to.

I bought one this morning. Pot luck with what seats as the system wouldn't allow me to choose a section. Make sure you only add a package as it seemed to add random OAp and student tickets when I was trying to get a seat in the section I wanted before finally giving up and going what was offered. It will be so quiet I'll probably find a seat I want at the game. The improvements to the system appear to have made it worse, not for the first time. Can't choose the seats I want and chaos at the turnstiles on Saturday. Hopefully it is just a bedding in process but I won't hold my breath.

Tonight comes down to hard work & attitude

If we work as hard as Arbroath, we win - that's all we need

If we don't work as hard as Arbroath then July 2019 results so far suggest we'll struggle

Whoever the XI are who are handed the jerseys, the real season starts here

Simply because he’s not match sharp.

Ok, I should have said ‘fully fit’.

Once he has reached this then he can slowly be introduced into games. 45 minutes to start maybe then building it up.

Maybe in Adelaide it is, or Wellington.

    Not in Edinburgh though.

    Thank you, Wincey Willis.

Should be okay for the match, but the Met Office has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms which is valid from 1800 this evening until 0900 on Wednesday morning. On current timings, the thunderstorms are expected to arrive in southern Scotland just after midnight, reaching the Central Belt around 0200, and Aberdeen and Inverness by around 0500.
