Also is that really the best eleven Hearts could come up with? We'd smash them with ours
Surprised they would have Jankauskas up front. Thought he was crap by the time he played for them. Quick look and he scored a massive 9 goals for them!

Agree with most. OP’s eleven with Scott Brown in for Sproule.
Think today most of us think of Scott Brown as the holding midfield player he is now.
In his time at Hibs he was, dare I say it, the SJM of his day. Drove the team forward and had a good turn of pace when needed.
Any doubters, just watch his role in the Sproule hat trick at Ibrox. You’ll see what I mean.

His best game and worst game for hibs in one night was 4-4 against Aberdeen at home. Remember that Zeroali who played for died players brilliant for the sheep that night.
    Died players?

Some memory there big man. It was 4-3 to Aberdeen and Zerouali was away at AFCON and didn't even play - the rest is spot on though 🤪

I was actually trying to remember who that game was against. Did he not set up most of our goals, but also at fault for theirs lol. Course he scored 2 v Hearts as well. I would have Gray or League Cup era Whittaker before him every time though.

Yeah did Zeroali not wear '0' on his strip. Tragic he died so young.
Aberdeen was against, midweek the first season the west was up. Some game.

And yeah about Zeroali tragic plus he was some player.

😂😂😂 aww well, I blame the drink. It was DLCs finest and shortest game in one though.

They've generally had pretty poor strikers this century. Still, there's plenty players I'd put up there before Jankauskas - Velicka, Elliott, Sow, Naismith, Lafferty all better surely?

Yeah any of them over Jankauskas. They are not the brightest in fairness though.

It's over 25 years since they last had a striker hit 20 goals in a season. They wouldn't know a good striker if it booted them in the arse

They had one, he now plays in the Dutch top flight and a Norwegian international. Unfortunately for them they chased him out the club.
