** Minutes Applause - Hibs v St Mirren **
Posting on behalf of my friend Vicky Cunningham
For those who are not aware, Vicky’s superhero daughter “Miracle Mirryn” recently lost her battle with Batten’s Disease (Child Dementia for those who may not be familiar with the name Batten’s) at 2 and a half years old. Mirryn pioneered breakthrough medication for children with a terminal illness and now because of her many children who faced the prospect of a lot of pain during their own battles will have the small comfort of being able to fight their battles pain free.
Mirryn leaves behind a heartbroken mother and 8 year old brother and the purpose of this post is to try and arrange a minutes applause on the 23rd minute for little Mirryn at the home match against St Mirren where both Vicky and Alexander will be in attendance.
Whilst Mirryn didn’t attend many Hibs matches due to her health, she loved to watch/listen to Hibs games most weeks with Vicky & Alexander.
Hopefully we can make this happen for the miracle that was Mirryn Cunningham.
Please share everywhere you can!

What a little sweetheart. Having a healthy daughter of our own I know how lucky we are, these pictures make me quite emotional. Best of luck.

Absolutely tragic. Puts today’s and every other game into perspective. I hope the minutes applause will be observed by everyone at the game.
United we stand here....

Beautiful pictures, what an absolute tragedy. I've never heard of Batten's Disease. Is it an illness babies are born with, or does it develop?

Those photographs and the back story would bring tears to a glass eye.
Rest in peace Mirryn. You made a difference.
All the very best for the future to Vicky and Alexander.
Lets make this happen.Last edited by CMurdoch; 14-07-2019 at 11:02 AM.

That is so sad, I'm sorry to hear she's passed.
I feel a strange mixture of sadness and anger(?) when I hear about kids suffering like this.

I'm not really a fan of these tributes but it's impossible not to be moved by this one. I'm sure Saints fans will join in if they get the message.

XxxThe difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits
The trouble with referees is that they know the rules, but they do not know the game

Have you thought about getting in touch with the club?
I understand it sets a precedent, but what about requesting Mirryn’s name to be included in the programme somehow?
Fitting tribute to have her name as a special mascot?
Just a thought 🇳🇬
In any case I will be standing and clapping proudly.

You'd need a heart of stone not to be moved by those pictures, such a beautiful wee girl. I can't even begin to comprehend the pain her family must be enduring. I hope the planned minute of applause provides a small comfort.

That wee girls face. Just a baby. So sorry.
I’m touched beyond belief. Don’t really know what else I could add to this post.
