Unless Hibs have changed their policy from last season, you can’t buy a ticket in FFL, unless you have a kid with you
That wasn’t Hibs policy last season Billy and wasn’t their policy any season I know of until now. And it’s why there will be more empty seats in the FFL this coming season than normal. If the club are keeping the FFL for only kids accompanied by adults I’m wondering if we will see a real sell out any time soon.

Not much change there then because it was half full in most of our “sell-outs” last couple seasons as well

I’m sure it was, perhaps someone could confirm or not
You also couldn’t upgrade a child’s ticket to an adult one either. Which meant if a kid couldn’t make it, Hibs wouldn’t the sell it via ticket exchange for the sell out matches

The question is will it be more empty than last season?!

Surely we can't make a daft situation worse?

I’ve been on here before (different threads naturally) and advised that for several years Season Tickets were widely available to any adult or OAP who wanted one in that stand. Granted, it was a preference for kids / families but certainly not exclusively. If someone tells me differently then Hibs have been taking regular money off several OAPs in that stand for a long, long time most of whom look nothing like kids. And none of them pretended to be either. It’s never been an exclusive parent and child stand. Until now.

    I think we may have.
Adults / OAPs have been relocated whether they like it or not. I’d love to see it packed with kids with their dads (and mums obviously) but I can’t see it. Hope I’m wrong but I reckon most kids will want to sit somewhere else.

Cheers Kaff, maybe didn’t put across well to IP

Buying an adults ticket in the FFL was never a problem in the past; I've done it many times for when my in-laws were in Edinburgh. The club didn't appear to enforce the "kids only" rule.

That is until the Singing Section chose to purchase tickets for the cup games early last season as a 'test'. That worked out well, didn't it.

I'll probably get slaughtered for this but i think Hibs could be guilty of overkill here. It's a football stadium not a nursery.

The map below is Fortuna Dusseldorf's stadium, one I've been to a number of times and the atmosphere was amazing.

The areas in pink are the 'family' sections, i.e. the parent and child areas. It's common across most German Stadiums, one of the best countries for atmosphere at football games.

Maybe Ron with his American ideas might decide to make FFL swing seat standing section with Singing Section to generate maximum atmosphere and intimidation willing the ball into the net just like the old days and like Keekaboos iillustration relocating the family section to the higher echelons or another part of the ground as their attendance especially in high profile games cannot always be relied upon
    Just saying likes! 😁

That too be fair is pretty good given we weren't great last season whereas going into the 2018 season we'd had the best Jan - May I think I've seen from a Hibs side.

    Ok, I’ll bite 😆

Hibs made a Roger of that and left red faced when the crowd was at 30% of capacity that day. They’ve since made this exclusive. You cannot purchase and Adult without a Child and vice versa (I believe). They’ve also asked non-families to move.

Result - an even emptier FFL next season and beyond.

We don’t have the demand to fill FFL solely with Kids / families, as so many choose to sit in East / West / FFU which they pay a premium for and more entitled to do.

Definitely a stubbornness / personal agenda from a couple of folk from Hibs on this one having engaged in conversation personally on the topic.

No sour grapes, I’m in the East next season and happy to be there 😁

It dosen't help the team facing into a half empty stand full of kids eating crisps or playing on a tablet or Iphone.

The lower tier behind the goal should be full of noise as we attack that goal in the second half.

Said this myself numerous times. Should be as intimidating as possible for the opposition keeper and should be a massive boost for our players with the fans sucking the ball into the net. Disappointing the club can't see that.
