    Europa Cup draw

Seeing the draw coming out today reminds me how much I want European football every season. Still never been to an away game and a couple of great trips there.

Killy got the welsh mob I wanted last season, Huns could get Cork city. We can only dream.

I think they're one of 3 teams they could get.

Cork v rangers would go without a hint of trouble, wouldn't it?

They could face the mighty Progres Niederkorn . We all know what happened the last time they faced Sevco in Europe 😂

I made the mistake of telling my Killie-supporting mate that I’d drive him to their away game if they got Connah’s Quay. Still, I don’t even need to book any time off work and it’ll be funny if they lose. Still owe them for putting us in the relegation play offs all those years ago.

Ballymena 2 NSI Runavik 0 in Europe League qualifying.

Wonder if Ballymena will be 2 down after 6 minutes in the return leg.?

Like Bohemians v Rangers in 1984

Jock Wallace made an unsuccessful attempt to get fans of his vile club to behave themselves.

Interesting that shelbourne decided to play their home match in Tranmere to avoid the hun hordes.

That article says: "Fears that Rangers supporters would wreck the gaff as soon as they touched down on Irish soil had led Shelbourne to relinquish home advantage. Bizarrely, they had to play their home leg in Prenton Park."

But the way I heard it told from one of the people who had a hand in the decision to move the game was this: Shels acknowledged that both sets of fans couldn't share their stadium, offered all the seats to Rangers (to charge more in ticket fees and make more money), but the British Embassy in Dublin strongly advised authorities this would not be sensible and helped find another stadium from which to host the game.

I don't think they are that fussed. If they spend more than they're supposed to but make the champions league they are fine because that covers it. If not they end up missing out on Europa.

Unlikely with the size of the TV deal.
