Notice Adam Jackson has been given #18, so unless he requested it he may well not be automatic first choice CB given 5 and 6 are free.

I'm banking on Porteous being given 5, and 6 going to a DM - Gravenberch maybe?

In this day and age, you really cant read into squad numbers to indicate first team significance...

looks like its a personal preference.

I agree that there's nothing to read into there. Newell was wearing an academy 6 on his shirt!

Speaking of, who was our last number 11? I genuinely can't remember.
