VAR is the pits. Not remotely a penalty viewed live. VAR didn’t even give any real confirmation. I think the referee felt obliged to confirm her first reaction which was a mistake. I would rather see a ref’s decision, albeit a wrong one, stand, rather than see it replayed over and over on a screen and the mistake compounded by the ref standing by the wrong first reaction.

I was being facieous. I've previously said VAR isn't the issue, but the new rules and the piss poor refereeing.

as others have said, you're the only one who thinks it was stone wall. even watching the video you couldn't say for sure.

of course you saw bad decisions before. however, now the pathetic decisions go in the big teams favour and they don't even hide it. where was VAR when Cuthbert was fouled? or the Japan handball as just two examples against us. both these exact circumstances have been reviewed and given to other teams since.

it's used wrongly and it's a pish introduction.
