VAR will make football worse off, not better IMO.
I don't get how the referee having the option to review a decision makes the game worse? The handball rule possibly does but thats nothing to do with VAR

If a team is short of numbers when attacking you're going to see players deliberately playing the ball into opponents bodies in the hope it strikes an arm/hand.
I was under the impression, under the new laws, that if the ball hits another part of the players' body then deflects onto the arm then it's not a penalty???

Sneaked in and poked a shot wide. Big gulf in class unfortunately.

Another example. Jen Beattie is a poor player. Just a unit. Mis times tackles and passes every week.

England just took a goal kick and the keeper gave to the centre half who was still in the box. Why did the ref not pull that up?

    Oh dear. Game over.

The defence looks a real weak link for Scotland. All over the shop there.

It was mentioned before the game that Scotland do leak goals but can also score a few as well, the England women look s lot stronger on the ball and in the challenge though.

On a side note, why do England have God Save the Queen as their anthem, I always thought that was the British national anthem, the English rugby team used to use Land of Hope and Glory but they also now use GSOQ.

I've no idea if that's the case or not, I hope so.

Don’t understand why they are so happy to take the ball and just stand and Shield it? Try moving the ball quicker and see what happens

Agree, there must be a few players that could take her place.

I've been going to rugby internationals since the early 80s and have never seen Land of Hope and Glory being used by England. When did this happen?

Not the best there, bit more composure needed.

As previous posters have said the law has changed. The ball is now considered 'in play' as soon as the goal kick is taken.
The opposition players still have to be outside the penalty area though.

Disappointed there isn’t a male pundit as part of the pitchside studio crew.

i'm sure the english have used jerusalem in a game against us in the past but i simply cannot remember what game or even sport it was, as for the game...the defence were very poor in the friendly against jamaica and i'm not surprised they are once again very poor, unfortunately we're not getting enough numbers going forward either, comfy afternoon for the english defence

    Really? Thanks for clearing up!

When did that rule kick in then?

I'd imagine she is useful against weaker nations with that scary physique but against this speed and quality she looks like a rugby player lost on the wrong pitch, ironically.

Already turned it off. We’re clearly not allowed to win. If those handball decisions become commonplace next season, im done with football.
Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

Yep, I wouldn't be telling her father that she's been poor 😁

    I don’t get these new rules ?

Looked like 2 other handballs by Scotland and nothing given ?

The back 4 for Scotland are dodgy - full backs are struggling and centre backs being dragged all over.

Scotland are decent going forward but haven’t had enough ball.

It's the unofficial anthem and gets played prior to every game, even the crowd sing it during the game, I always thought GSTQ was the British anthem and not purely England's, she is the Queen of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The other 2 were deflected onto the hand which makes it accidental.
