The core support seems to have grown since the cup final. 11k used to be the break even number I think and that was for the season average not just season tickets, we've still got plenty of announcements to come which will hopefully boost them further. Happy days.

A couple of key signings and this number will jump again

McNulty and Omeonga spring to mind

But fantastic so far - well done to the hibs family

Wonder how many are new tickets as opposed to renewals.

Definitely. After the finance company fiasco that’s great news.

Very encouraging. Hearts and ourselves will likely hit similar numbers to last season and if Aberdeen can up the intake then it’s hugely positive to see regular crowds in the high teens at these three grounds to add to the full houses at Rangers and Celtic, making the SPFL a more attractive product all round.
It’s been really enjoyable going to Easter Road in recent years and seeing it pretty full most weeks. I’d like to see us offer up the seats in the South a lot earlier though, even if availability is still there in the other stands. We should be looking to offer fans the best experience we can, and by offering up seats with good views in South Stand rather than poorer quality seats that are always last to sell elsewhere would be a step in that direction.

Aberdeen's support shows little sign of recovery though. I suspect that the Killie support will fall now that Steve Clarke has left. There is still Hamilton with barely 1,000-2,000 supporters and Livingston in much the same category. St Johnstone also struggle to attract crowds.

Now that Dundee have been relegated with the continued absence of United, the Premiership is without two of the top-eight in terms of (potential) attendance.

Crowds may be rising but the whole Premiership is looking more and more unbalanced.

There is a top two way ahead of anyone else (50,000-60,000). Then comes the likes of Hibs, Hearts and Aberdeen (15,000-18,000) followed by a third tier of Killie, Motherwell, and St Mirren (5,000+). Finally there is St Johnstone, Ross County, Livingstone, Hamilton (4,000 or less).

Meanwhile well supported clubs, United, Dundee, and Dunfermline languish in the Championship.

Could we possibly sell 200 today to beat or match last season's comparable figure?

Only because it had already recovered. Average 9929 in 2011/12, 16984 last season.

Don't think so. Why would you buy today when you could wait until next week when any non-renewed seats will be available?

Aberdeen had an average of 14,925 last season.

Because there is a window to buy or change any seats you have already bought

That's true, I was asking in hope more than expectation.

No danger were Aberdeen averaging that last season

You're right - first google hit hadn't been updated in months. 14927 seems to be the correct figure.

To anyone still mulling over whether to commit to a ST next year.....

Scotty is coming home! Watching him is worth the admission on it's own!

The day we announce we have broken thec11k barrier in ST renewals the resident dotty counter on Keekback announces they have sold 11,425 based on the number of dots left. No official announcement from the Queen but as she has closed certain seating areas from sale, and he's apparently included the super dooper galactic premium castle view seats it would appear his count methodology is somewhat suspect.

It makes me laugh, but as long as we keep progressing the way we are I couldn’t care less what that lot do or sell. They are a horrible club followed by stupid “people “

The excuses on Sickback have started already. "Hibs tickets are cheaper" etc. We sold more than them last season and had a higher average attendance. Are they in denial or just really thick?

  31. #30
Beyond impressive, it's amazing Hibs have managed to maintain ST sales at last year's level. The bounce we got from the Cup win and Lennon's appointment is well gone, so this is simply down to the quality of the current manager, players and the good decisions of the Hibs Board. Well done to all so far.
