Beyond impressive, it's amazing Hibs have managed to maintain ST sales at last year's level. The bounce we got from the Cup win and Lennon's appointment is well gone, so this is simply down to the quality of the current manager, players and the good decisions of the Hibs Board. Well done to all so far.

Incredible after all the turmoil last season. Imagine we'd had a good one!

The excuses on Sickback have started already. "Hibs tickets are cheaper" etc. We sold more than them last season and had a higher average attendance. Are they in denial or just really thick?
No, they're in denial *and* really thick!

There's a thread on here somewhere but effectively unless you have a child in your group then you are being asked to move.

Why would they be making excuses? They've sold 11,500...

Theirs have been on general sale for a week and are probably about 300 ahead of us. Lets see where we are in a weeks time after general sale.

Evening news saying they’ve sold 11,500.

They even include in the article what the phone number is to get one along with the option numbers. Looks like an advert.

That's called a press release. I've written them for various organisations, from Trade Unions to golf clubs looking for new members.

It will have been written by Hearts and printed with minimal changes.

Hibs could, and should, do the same.

Anderson’s name is against it though? Press release/adverts don’t usually have the chief of sport for the papers name against it.

Why don’t we do similar? Just looks like one big **** advert that they pay nothing towards.

I’m sure at one point Douglas Cromb said we needed to reach an average crowd of 9k to survive... changed days indeed

Petrie said similar. Can’t remember the figure though.

He would draw the information from the press release then attach his name to it.

Instead of using one of the interns or the genetic news bot they use?

From the outside it looks like Anderson on the hearts bandwagon helping them promote season tickets, like they did when they struggled to sell out the cup final or last derby.

Where or why are Hibernian not doing similar?

...but they haven't. No announcement from the Queen and their dot counter has assumed if its not for sale its sold when there are self imposed restrictions.

Hearts’ official twitter have announced they’ve sold 11.5k ST’s

That's a good effort from them.
However, I fully expect us to leap-frog them 8 days hence with the general sale seat release bounce which begins on Tuesday.

Or maybe they were inspired from scoring a goal in a cup final and then singing 😂

Most ‘stories’ in the local/regional UK media are reproduced or partially reproduced press releases.
