Molde striker Erling Braut Haaland (NHC)

Quite an achievement..... played against us IIRC..... (Edit - should have said ex-Molde striker)

Aye, missed the first leg as he was discussing a transfer and then played in the second.

He was the difference maker in the tie. Looked excellent and wasn’t surprised that RB Salzburg were pushing very hard to sign him.

Just watched the goals on YouTube and the lad knows where the goals are.

9 goals in an International is amazing and here's me thinking my 6 goals in one match for Tartan Boys Club all these years ago was special.

I remember thinking how much difference can one player make, turned out a big one. Can’t help but feel we should’ve made the 1st leg count!!

Mallan hit the bar & Gray hit the post, I remember. We certainly had our chances in the 1st leg but just never took them and it certainly cost us dearly in Norway.

Plus we had just sold SJM to Villa a few days before the 1st leg.

Debut for Dortmund today. Off the bench in the second half and scored a hattrick within 25 minutes

3-1 down at the time. Won 5-3.

Wonder if he could become the best player to play against Hibs.

A massive danger to Serbia and Scotland in the Euro's play-offs at the end of March

I think Messi might take that honour rather comfortably.

He’s a long long way away from that. It’s possible but you’ll only know in about ten years.

Him being at Dortmund is an odd one. They have said the only way they could get a deal done was to insert a, relatively speaking, low release clause of €60M. It's not something they usually do.

If he has a good half season he could well be on the move again in the summer.

Bayern usually buy their best players, so it's likely.

Competitively you would remove Messi, Barca and Rooney though. Sure a few of the AEK players won the Euros.

The AEK manager is now manager of Portugal.

Or Zoff? There are that many it’s not funny. This guy could turn out amazing but he’s not even in the top 50 players to have played against Hibs yet.

Zoff is a good shout along with many UK players who were considered top world class players at their time.Say Billy Wright,Danny Blanchflower and John Charles.

I’m sure I saw somewhere today that the release clause only kicks in after a couple of seasons. Not entirely sure if it’s true but would make a bit more sense for Dortmund.

Zoff played against Hibs in competitive games, but when did these other guys?

    How about Raymond Kopa?
