On the pod we ran through Kamberi's 2018 stats vs Morelos' 2018. Does this suggest if he was getting better service he would have scored more goals?

I think our formation is to blame for the lack of service. We play far too narrow and Stevenson and Gray don’t supply the needed quality from wide positions to hurt teams. I think with Boyle, Allan and Horgan we’ll create much more chances next season.

We use Wyscout. I'll post some of the stats on here this afternoon. Thanks for the feedback, its something we've only done a wee bit of so we were unsure about going full on stats mode.

I don't think the injuries etc have helped. Boyle and Agyepong would have given us the option to play with more width.

We have also very rarely had anyone who can do justice to playing up front on their own. Kamberi is hopeless at it, McNulty did his best but a lot of our good work fizzled out when the ball reached him on Saturday.

The "imbalanced nature of the squad" I often talk about is around the fact that we don't have any strikers who can play up front on their own, any midfielders who can cope in a central 2, and our fullbacks don't really give us enough going forward to go with 3 CB's, so every team we pick has a deficiency of some sort, even if all of our players are decent.

I find the stats really interesting, certainly statistics that were explored in this show that delve deeper than the simple possession/shots in target etc that accompany match reports on the BBC and what have you.

Nope, but neither is hosting or equipment. But we love doing the podcast so accept its gonna cost money
