As usual, outstanding communications on your part, Kieran.

I think you could teach most football clubs a thing or two about keeping fans up-to-date.

A difficult start to 2021 with another lockdown but I hope you continue to look after yourself both physically and mentally. Always available if you need me for anything kpower@hibernianfc.co.uk
Another good away win yesterday - on the back of an improved midweek showing. It’s no surprise that coincides with Darren being back in the team. New faces finding their feet too.

Scott Allan spoke to the press during week about the team letting the fans down by not doing the basics and the right things last Saturday. He’s absolutely right - there will be periods in football and games when things aren’t going to go the way you want or maybe expect. You need to be mentally strong and always battle to the end. The way the semi-final was surrendered was not good enough.
Everyone at the club is expected to show leadership, ownership and demand high performance. Up to everyone to stand up. No more throwing away opportunities, stop getting the same outcomes in big games.

There has been a lot of progress this season, positives to take heart from and still lots to play for. While we didn't get what we wanted recently your support has been incredible. Keep doing what you do – thanks for feeding back, thanks for engaging, thanks for being resilient and keep backing the team on the park.

I would like to update you on what I’ve brought to the board’s attention on behalf of supporters

    Working with Hibernian Supporters
    Recent collaboration appreciated.

KP – Lots of great work from both sides recently - The creativity, communication and desire from all involved at Hibernian Supporters. And the promotion in match programmes, HibsTV adverts, social media and mail drop from the club. Resource is very tight in this environment so all efforts are appreciated.

    Recent Form
The club and supporters demand high standards and performances at home, and Hampden, need to be better.

So pleased for Scott being back after a difficult period out. Great to see. He is a great example of perseverance.

    CEO search
This is ongoing (prioritising making the right choice over a quick decision). Club is very content we have the right people in the right places to continue successfully interim.

    ———

    Pitch
Club is aware of feedback. Colin Fraser gave an update on the Match a couple of weeks back. A combination of games, poor weather and reduced maintenance because of COVID having a massive impact. The pitch is a lot better than it was because of Colin’s hard work but now aesthetically poorer as a result. Close season will sort that.

"We will have to see what the vaccine does, we'll have to see if we've managed to not import the virus again with travel restrictions. If we get that right as a nation, yes, there could be crowds in September."

The next couple of months and European championship planning will give us more clarity I’m sure.

A huge thank you, as always, to fans who have been able to back the football club financially in these times.

The Hampden initiative has been heartwarming and inspiring to see. A fantastic five figure sum will be raised which will support the football budget this month. Again, your support has been incredible.

Fantastic work from Hibs.net members raising a substantial amount for the above cause. A further commitment of sponsoring Jackson Irvine to end of season should be noted too. Outstanding work too by North East Scotland Hibees, East Lothian Hibs and St.Giles branches on this mission.

    Brilliant.

I've done this privately, but I just wanted to make public my appreciation and thanks to Kieran for help in sorting out an issue that I've had with the Club for about 18 months.

It wasn't a big deal in the great scheme of things, but was proving an emotional strain for my family. KP got involved a couple of months ago, and sorted it out efficiently and quickly.

I should also mention Chris Gaunt, who is the relatively new Head of Finance at the Club. His help was also much appreciated.

Thanks for the kind words G, you're more than welcome. I'll pass on the great feedback to Chris - who still doesn't have his feet under the table yet but is doing some great work at the club.

    Afternoon all,

Optimism is now building for the way out of the crisis that is affecting everyday life. Stick in and the summer will be here before we know it - Back to Easter Road. Always available if you need me for anything kpower@hibernianfc.co.uk

Three very good wins in February, scoring two in each, was spoiled a bit by a frustrating afternoon yesterday at home against Motherwell. We're in a good place, third, four points clear of Aberdeen and have a game in hand. Point to prove in the games before the split that we can close out the season positively.January closed off since I last posted - the Squad strengthened and a number of bids for players were rejected. Fantastic news last week that Joe Newell and Josh Doig committed their future to the club until 2023 and 2025 respectively. The squad is always in review and contract negotiations are ongoing with others at the moment, whilst also assessing where we might want to strengthen and upgrade with player recruitment (European football next season would put extra demand on our squad).

Future Supporter Representation on the Board

This is my 23rd month at the club (time flies) and it is time to start planning future supporter representation at Hibs. I've agreed to continue my role until the end of season to allow for a better window to review the next supporter representation on the club's board.

Scott's in-depth interview on the 19th of February was very powerful stuff- https://youtu.be/IURhRCKBZu8 - Scott is not only a fantastic and talented footballer but he is a brilliant ambassador for Hibernian. He is superb with supporters, especially our younger ones that look up to him - I've a long list of examples of great engagement between Scott and young fans.Scott Allan: I feared I wouldn't play again - Hibernian FC

The virtual card of support from fans was shared with Scott (Thanks to Graeme Mathie and Kenny Millar). Scott was really moved by the gesture and to all that have got in touch with messages of support. He sends his deepest thanks to all Hibernian supporters.

One of the greatest examples of perseverance? Most probably.

These will be issued very soon.

    ———

    Season Tickets 2021/22

Club will soon be in a position to release season tickets for next season, providing a great deal of flexibility. Signs are very promising on next season being one much like normal.

KP - Josh Doig's comments this week hit home - "For my first goal as well, there being no fans to cheer is a bit of a downer ... all the messages I've had on social media this season, it's why I'm so desperate for the fans to come back"

    ———

    Food Kiosks

The look and feel, including new products, are being finalised for our return.

    ———

    Scottish Cup extension

Looking more than likely that the Scottish Cup will carry on into next season for the second year in a row - SFA very keen to complete the tournament as before.

    Thanks for update.

Do you know if there will be more healthier options available at the food kiosks ? Would be good if so and link in with FFIT and obviously promoting healthy living. It’s been so long since we have been at ER - were they using card payments also ? I’m sure they introduced this ??!

Finally think the club can do more on green initiatives and recycling etc. Even increased education for fans at the stadium and a local community clean up would show the club cares about the local environment.

Not aware of the exact offerings myself but it sounds sensible to have a healthier option within the offerings. The club is now in control of what products are on offer moving forward, so room to test different things out to test take-up.

Cashless payments will be an option moving forward with SportingPay a key partner (some supporters will have noticed they have been match sponsors at points this season - including Saturday there).

Expecting a bigger focus on the greenest club in Scotland within club operations in the return to normality and resources go back to before. That message is labelled high on top of the East Stand.

If someone’s trying to get healthier, managing to go 2 hours without eating would be a good start 😂

Please make sure there’s still plenty **** foot for us fatties as well please 😉

Any word on Dempsters replacement KP? I know you won’t be able to give me any names but would be good to get an idea if we’re close to replacing her or not.

With season ticket sales coming up it’d be good to know who I moan to that it’s costing too much 😉

Great question - still the same position as last month, the existing management team will see us through to near season end before an appointment is made. A very long list of exciting and talented individuals for the club to work through.

    Thanks for update.

Lots of opportunities to improve match day experience.

Stadium definitely needs jet washed (you can see this driving past east stand!) and some basic maintenance- really hope Ron still has plans to do some improvements. Looking forward to hearing the new PA system whenever we get back into grounds !

With season ticket sales coming up it’d be good to know who I moan to that it’s costing too much 😉
To be fair skipping meals is not often advised to lose weight - some folk gone straight to the stadium from work so some sort of healthy option shouldn’t be out the question.

I’m not even sure if they offer a single healthy option on the menu - even some fruit and decent snacks would help.

There are loads of amazing bakeries on Easter Road and near Leith Walk serving good coffee and other options - Ok not for everyone but they do seem very popular.

Regarding LD replacement - that is an off one..nearly 4 months now and we haven’t got a replacement ??!

He certainly has, and we’ve had a few good ones. Big Frank was always helpful to me on a one to one basis, that was his style
Yep, Frank was the ‘old school’ who preferred face to face activity.

Didn’t suit us 12000 kilometres away, and I whinged to him about that, but nothing could dampen his enthusiasm for the club, and he can look back on his time on the board with pride.

Hopefully some vegan options on the menu. It's growing rapidly in the UK. Probably won't need much additions, Fruit Pastilles are now vegan, Cadbury Bournville chocolate is vegan and readily available, a sachet of plant based milk for tea and coffee's, Walkers Ready Salted, Salt & Vinegar are vegan. The only "specialist" product you're gonna need to add is a few frozen pies.

Also surely next season is the time to get the standing section on the goal behind the goal? Mental that a rugby stadium in Edinburgh (Edinburgh's new one) has more standing places (around 2000) than Easter Road despite the capacity being about 13000 less than ER.

Wee query mate. Any chance that those who renew early bird on the PP could have the 4 month finance option that those who renew later on get as opposed to the 11 instalments?
