    Coupe de France

The final Rennes PSG is just about to go to penalties. PSG were deservedly 2-0 up in the first half and Rennes came back to 2-2 in the second half.

Mbappe got a straight red at the end of extra time for a horrific high tackle.

In terms of "big" teams yes. It's about an hours drive but I haven't managed to really get into them TBH. Guingamp is about 30 minutes further and I have more of a soft spot for them.

It's on Premier Sports and Freesports although Freesports seems to be delayed. It's only the 43rd minute on Freesports.

PSG epitomise everything I dislike in football nowadays.

I wonder if Tuchel will keep his job?

The Rennes manager Julien Stéphan is only 38. He didn't have much of a career as a player and stopped in his late 20s to go into coaching. He was Rennes youth coach when he was appointed manager in December. Since then they had a good run in the UEFA League and now the cup win.

    Just goes to show...

I'm not sure. They've had some crappy results recently and struggled to finally confirm their league win.

I have never heard much of Rennes being up there in the French football world. well done to them. the only reference I ever had as a kid was that Rennes was related to pigeon racing, as the birds were "liberated" from there and came hame to Scotland to my Uncle's loft! .the local pigeon club would place bets amongst themselves as to who had the best Doo!

If he keeps it, then he’ll be on last chance saloon. Will need to win the CL next season. I’m sure that's why they punted Emery our the door. Won the league but no progress made in the CL.

Just seen the Rennes equaliser, quite similar to a goal SDG scored in a cup final back in May 2016 😊

I was working in France back in 1983 and was lucky enough to buy a ticket at face value outside Parc de Princes for Paris SG v Nantes cup final . Was in Nantes end and though PSG won 3 v 2 was probably one of the best atmospheres I`ve been in at any game .

    Well done to Rennes.

I have seen Rennes play a few times when on holiday. We go to Brittany in August most years and try a catch a match at Nantes or Rennes when there.
