I hate yellow away tops. The only one I quite liked was the one we wore at Celtic Park when we beat them 3-1 in 2005. If Hibs have built up hope of a purple top and we end up with yellow I swear I'll do time.

The 1998/99 cheese cloth one was gash.
The 'millenium' one was crap.
The 08/09 'sunshine' one was arguably our worst kit ever.
The Puma one with the black trim was crap.
The Nike luminous one was just boring.
Last season 3rd kit was also utterly boring.

I like the way we rotate our away strip but I'd happily drop yellow and go with a rotation of white, black and purple with maybe a random silver or something chucked in every so often.

There's no accounting for taste, PB. I love the yellow away kits and think all yellow looks great. 2002-03 (I think!) Le Coq Sportif is my favourite away strip. Purple I've never liked

You have to be extremely careful with striped tops or they're just ****. I wouldn't mind a purple and silver stripe so long as its purple stripes on top of a silver background and not the other way around.

I agree our yellow kits havent been great. I think its because yellow and green together is not a very nice combo for a kit. The best out of the bad bunch you mention was the nike one a few years back which had black shorts and no green. If we were to go yellow again id rather see yellow and black rather than yellow and green.

Anyway, definitely going to be purple this year. Hope its better than the last purple effort.
