Also it's quite a subtle shirt so I fail to see what the issue is?

Great stuff from Thistle, another reason to respect them as a club. 👏

That Thistle away kit is a great effort, even discounting the laudable sentiment behind the rainbow trim. A released strip is always preferable to an unreleased one........

Not pointing any fingers or supporting any perceptions when making the observation that leaping on others because of a perception that their underlying views might be different, actually risks an accusation of intolerance..... which is kind of ironic

I'm surprised more clubs haven't done similar. Although I have noticed an increase in awareness of LGBT over the last few months from a lot of clubs. With the exception of the Glasgow bigot brothers.. But are we surprised at that..

The LGBT bandwagon is about 4 years old now, however the trim on the strip is actually a political statement fighting the increasing prejudice and marginalisation of George, Jeffrey, Zippy and Bungle.

Am I the only one not seeing a rainbow trim but it's really a yellow/black and red one.
On a closer look I now see it on the side of the white away top, very subtle.Last edited by J-C; 18-06-2019 at 07:33 PM.

Thistle strip looks like Albion Rovers. Where are their traditional stripes?

I mean in truth that away kit's trims are red, black and yellow, which are Patrick's colours, no? Still good on them for celebrating inclusivity - at the end of the day that's what the rainbow symbol stands for, beyond just representing any certain group. Only right that a football club, especially one with a bit of heart in a citywide football scene dominated by two particular club cultures with very selective notions of inclusivity, should count it as a core value and show their support. I don't see it as jumping on a bandwagon or cashing in at all, any more in a certain sense than Hearts having their Save the Children sponsorship (though circumstances are v obviously different there in more than one way). Given homophobia is, let's face it, rife in the wider Scottish football culture I'm all in favour of it and I'd be more than happy to see us as a similarly inclusive club do the same or similar sometime.
Going back to the original point though, is that trim red, yellow and black, or are my eyes deceiving me?
Edit: just had a closer look at the side stripes. I'm an idiot. Leaving this here for posterity...Last edited by Perd Hapley; 19-06-2019 at 02:43 AM.
