Excellent today. Won his Arial duels and put his head in the way of a rocket shot. Put Brown on his arse with a great tackle. Get this new contract done and dusted please. No coincidence that a new manager comes in and the defence look more stable and players return to form.

Never gave Hayes or Sinclair or Forrest a minutes peace. Snarling into them every time and a marvellous leader. His Berwick is sacred and I hope he had plenty sun cream on it 2nd half.

Literally everything, every stand, the stadium, every staff member, suite, toilet, manager and player should be renamed david gray. Only thing that should remain is the name of our club.

Amazing player who has nothing to prove to Hibs fans - yet week after week he gives performances like that. If Hibs don't build that statue, we might as well switch the lights out.

An absolute colossus today. You could see he was knackered and bruised but continued to give his absolute all until the 95th minute. Total man crush!

Anyone got the video of the tackle?
Right in front of the East Stand - standing ovation.
Will be a moment I won’t forget.
He was street wise around 80 mins going down (to get physio on) to take the sting out the game.

Off to B and Q for a trowel in the morning.
I'll build the statue myself and I've never laid a brick in my life.

He's made of teak. Or titanium. Or something. Almost getting better with age as well.
Great performance.

The ultimate professional. I am just enjoying watching him play for Hibs as long as I can. He will be a player that a lot of people talk to their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren about in years to come.

I’ll never forget his performance on 21/05/16.
The statue should be built and named
“The colossus of Easter Road”. It should stand as tall as the stadium, made of solid gold, apart from his head, that should be made of diamond, the hardest substance known to man. What a guy.

Leaves everything on the park week in, week out. A true captain.
I'm a bit concerned that lately, he seems to be involved in a concussion incident almost every game. That won't be good for the longevity of his playing career or overall health.

David Gray is proper Hibs - will miss him when he’s gone, but hopefully still a few more years of him to enjoy. Hoping Sportscene feature his tackle on Brown in their highlights.
