    Next one announced.
Certainly getting them in early as Heckingbottom wanted. Nice to see some long term deals as well

So much for Hecky using the loan market.

I'm having a crisis here! I've banged on about the lack of preseason signings for years and we have signed 5 to date! Whilst I'm pleased we have, my crisis is one in that , I find myself contemplating good signings or fillers to pacify us or maybe I was happy with last minute signings in the first instance? Life is complicated ... It could be the lack of being able to moan that's getting me down! :D

    Ok who is next ?

    GK ? possibly need 2 ?
    Holding midfielder ?
Striker ? Depends if Flo is sold

    Mark O Hara ?

McNulty and Omeonga would be nice.

I think we'll see at least one of our new keepers here on loan. Fingers crossed for Omeonga and Sparky too!

We have seen our competitors using the lower English leagues to good effect over the years and we bemoaned the fact we didn't seem to pick up these wee gems of players like Moult, Billy Mackay, Adam Rooney etc and now when we do we question if they're good enough for us.
The usual suspects do anyway. Not all of us. I’m very excited with what’s arrived so far.

Very encouraged that the average age of our signings this summer is 25.6 years. We needed to lower our average age amongst the squad IMO.

Anyone hiding in the bushes at EM? Is there anyone on a trial - a goalie perhaps?

Good point, can only be a good thing (I'm sure someone will be along to disagree soon)! 😁

You need to attend Testimonial dinners now to find out the new signings.

Hiding in the bushes was so 2015.

Ah the back up keeper. The rich tea biscuit of footballers.

The new guys along with Boyle and Allan back is an encouraging start.

Priority for me I would still like to see another striker in ahead of Kamberi and a centre mid come in.

Anyone think we still need an enforcer in midfield?

Yeah this is the only real 'gap' left to me.

Could do with another keeper and some depth all over the place, but in terms of the main spine.

Omeonga and Gravenberch, a backup winger and striker and we're good IMO.

    100%

Past few seasons we needed pace / width / creativity.

    We got that..

Then we didn’t have a Holt type number 9. Flo tried but that isn’t his game.

McNulty did better in that role.

Now we have lost Marv and Milligan - we know there will be game this season we need someone to do the dirty work and get on the ball / Male tackles etc.

Mallan and Allan won’t turn the ball over enough.

Another keeper, defensive midfielder and possibly a forward for me. Very close to a complete squad given the DM is the only one I'd say is an absolute must.

I see most saying another striker ahead of/instead of Kamberi. To be honest, I think he will be back to his old self this season, or at least I hope he is.

Think we only need 4 , maybe 5 more and we are good to go.

    GK (if Marciano leaves)
    Defensive midfielder
    Backup winger
    X2 strikers

Send Oli Shaw out on loan for regular 1st team football

Horgan, newell and boyle with mackie, murray and kamberi as options is enough for me. Maybe even one of the new strikers able to play wide too.

    Gk
    Defensive midfielder
    Box to box midfielder
    Striker x 2

    is my wish list.

Get the impression that McNulty may not be back with us paying money for Doidge and him taking number 9.

We’ll take him on a season long loan.

Even if he is though, we will only have Flo, Doidge and Shaw. If we play with two up front, we probably need a 4th. Unless Gullan is deemed to be ready (given he didn't seem to set the heather on fire at Raith, I'd be slightly worried by that).

If we want to play 2 then we definitely need 4. I doubt we’ll play 2 though, very few teams do. If that’s the case then 3 with Boyle as a last resort would probably be enough.
