If he did say that then it's up there with his fast, pressing football and fitness levels they won't have seen before, given none of his starting midfield on Saturday can tackle to save themselves.
Agreed. But let's not go slating a man for something that, until now, hasn't been evidenced by Mr Accuser.

Hanlon in midfield is laughable. Smacks of desparation.

I thought Mallberg was going to be the DM we need?

Nonsense. He is anything but stubborn with his team selection and formation, totally baseless thing to say.

    Has he ever played 3 5 2?

    He uses two formations only, 4 3 3 or 4 4 2

Not at Hibs no. He hasn't played 4411, 4321, 3421, 3412, 3313, 4141 either. That does not make him stubborn.

He has played 4231 plenty times as Hibs manager so he has at least 3.

Would it be asking a lot to have players play their natural positions? Shifting players here there and everywhere is a nonsense.

What about the young lad Ben Stirling, a natural DM and at an age where he needs to start showing what he can do, played fairly well in pre season.

Heckingbottom said he wants Hallberg to play the role they tried out with Stirling/Campbell in pre season.

Stirling & Campbell are out on loan with Arbroath at the moment. I think Stirling's been starting regularly since his move.

Obvious example was playing Scotty wide right.

Asking a midfielder to play on the right isn't exactly here, there or everywhere tbf.

Allan should have enough about him to have coped and contribute more than he did. Appreciate this has already been done to death. But that's hardly the most disastrous tactical decision ever. Likewise when Flo plays out on the left of a front 3. We're not asking wingers to pay at CH, or strikers to play in goals here.

That's what I don't get, get players signed early get them into a settled formation. Nearly two months later nobody has any idea what's going on formation wise.

Indeed. That is much more of a problem than his stubbornness.

Perfect example of someone just making something up to have a shot at him where there is plenty of non fictional ammunition.

Aye that's the obvious benefits of getting your signings in early.

Although i know the usual subject will be along anytime soon with a valid excuse, why we've not been better.

Yet people complain about Mallan not being able to play a deeper role, or Newell out wide.

Allan was lost on the right and struggled to get involved. He has no pace to threaten the full back and isn't defensive minded so provided no protection to Gray. That is evidence that it's harder than it looks to be versatile.
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

And I think we can be reasonably confident that that'll be the last Hibs-related transfer news until the winter.
