I thought it was a great night, although the comedian was on a bit too long IMO. What struck me was how friendly the players were and how happy they were to pose for photos. I had a wee chat with Adam Jackson, he couldn't have been any friendlier, came across as a really great bloke. Said he was loving it up in Edinburgh so far and was delighted to have signed.

I know it ultimately doesn't matter, but I prefer it if the players I'm supporting are good guys, even at my age there is still a bit of adulation and it appears we have a great bunch. I thought it was an excellent turn out and befitting of Paul Hanlon. The only two players I can think of who weren't there were Rocky and Horgan. Brilliant gesture by SJM to attend, it was a pity Liam Henderson didn't make it as well, but the chat coming in was that he'd just got engaged, so guess he had other priorities.

As one of my mates pointed out it could be a long long time, if ever again, that a player is awared another testimonial at Hibs.

Enjoyed last night - well done to those who organised it.

My only issues were that, as others have said, although Jack Docherty had some good jokes, he did seem to be on for a long time. Also, there was the same problem with the auction as there was at Lewis' dinner with regard to the winning bids, so I think they could have raised more for the charity. Still, I think it was close to £50,000 on the auction alone, which is a cracking amount.

Great night, thoroughly enjoyed it. The Proclaimers are fantastic live!!
They were good, slightly disappointed that they didn't leave Sunshine on Leith until last though.

Brilliant night, thoroughly deserved and a big well done to the organisers

Oh, and just when I thought I couldn't love Lewis anymore he picked out our table for the cash prize

He was amazing, very funny, wasn’t expecting that at all

Does anyone have a video of him, my phone cut out half way through as it ran out of storage.
I've got one of pretty much the full thing, will upload it to YouTube later on & post a link.

Table 26. I know you were kidding, but I thought it was decent of them to hand back the match worn McGinn Villa strip so it could be used to raise funds at another event.

Great evening. First one of these I've been to and thought it was excellently done. It helped we were at a table next to the players So many faces I knew from Lou the piper at the door to the usual suspects. The meal was better than I expected, the comedian maybe could have cut his set down a bit but that's a minor quibble. The Proclaimers were excellent as always with Joyful Kilmarnock Blues a highlight. The only downside was having to get up at 6.15am for work this morning. Bad planning.

I thought it was so so.

Meal was good, guy from Scots Squad stayed 30 minutes too long and The Proclaimers were as expected.
Cant imagine he would've been any worse than the 'comedian' at the POTY!!

Really enjoyed the evening, nothing less than Paul deserves.

John McGinn, what a man. Never stopped all night getting photos with fans. Was actively seeking out folk to the point it felt like harassment! Legend, gentleman.

Our squad seem to be genuinely sound people, it's magic.

I was there and have to say I thought it was a really fantastic occasion.

We had a couple of weegies on our table, experiencing the Hibee Family for the first time (as it were)

From their 'fresh eyes' they were blown away by it all - the love in the room for the players, the comedy poking fun at "radge jambo bxxxxxxs", the interviews with McGinn, Lewis & Paul Hanlon himself, the music & all the videos

Their thought was 'any new players going along to that will be - wow - this is a proper football club i've joined'

100% kudos to the committee and everyone who put the night together, a great celebration of what Hibs means to us all, and a great way for the Hanlon Stevenson Foundation to be launched btw too.
