    Mark Hollis dies

Saddened to read that Mark Hollis, lead singer and guitarist in Talk Talk has died at a still-relatively young age of 64.

Talk Talk were a great band who really evolved over the few years they were together.

Sad news. Couldn't quite believe it when I first heard Spirit Of Eden as I assumed Talk Talk were still a sort of electro-pop group back then. But wow.....stunning album.

I agree wholeheartedly about Spirit of Eden, it was beyond something else, especially given the work they had released before (albeit I liked their earlier work).

Nice piece about him by Alexis Petridis in the Guardian

Cheers, I had no idea that Ed Hollis was his brother. Co-wrote Do Anything You Wanna Do for Eddie & The Hotrods.

Used to like them until they went into supplying broadband.
