A team containing SJM can change a result very late

Aston Villa have a dreadful defence otherwise they would be challenging. They have been involved in a ridiculous amount of high scoring draws this season.

Great composure from SJM with his right foot in the 94th minute, could've just battered it across but lifts it to the back post.

Brilliant game. McGinn showing his class with that cross for the equaliser. Also demonstrated his incredible ball shielding qualities several times. Who else can even do that?

Amazing last 10 minutes. The blades fell to pieces!

Given the money at stake I thought they would have spent on a defence in January.

Yep. Their promotion will likely fail on too many draws and too many goals lost.

I was about to change channels at 0-3
Glad i stayed with it now.

Some comeback and SJM could have had a goal
Certainly he should have gained a penalty in closing minutes.
And his cross for the late equaliser sums him and his ability up.
A wonderful and very unique footballer,as we all know.
Many young Scots footballers head south and are rarely heard of again or back "up the road" fairly quickly.
John is not and wont be one of them.

Show. Me. The money..... performances like that must alert the likes of Everton or such.

I thought SJM was anonymous in the first half.

    Much better second.

Thought much the same. As soon as villa started attacking he was involved much more. Think he is better deeper than the role villa play him in.

Balotelli is a lot of fun. 5 fouls committed, 5 fouls against, which meant he was directly involved in almost three quarters of all the fouls on the pitch(nearest other player on 2). Kicked hard in the testes at one point, complained to the ref and was booked. Sometimes appeared to stop playing totally, didn't press at all, hands on hips, but still managed 9 shots, 4 on target, a goal, and muttered and chuntered his way through the ninety minutes.
