never a penalty, referee was spot on
Think FIFA maybe need to look at Ďintentionalí hand ball ruling....not because of this game, but increasing incidence of hand balls......Iíd award a penalty wherever it is touched by a hand but the referee deems it led to an advantage to the defending team......any way that debate for another day.

Baffles me that any manager playing Jamie Maclaren as a lone striker is a good idea?

Not a Ďloneí striker....Arnold had hopes the three attackers would interchange

    1-0 to Jordan.

Jordon fought like tigers to defend their lead, and Oz just didnít have the nous to beat them.

Milligan played well, but methinks Jamie has played his last game for Oz...injuries permitting that is.

i think it was possibly more to do with Jordan defending en masse, it reminded me of a lot of our games in the championship

    Yep, brought back memories!

Although, before the game I did say to anyone who would listen that I just didnít see where Ozís goals would come from, and ran out of time to get a bet on the draw.

This isnít a vintage Australian side by any means, and it has been weakened by injuries almost on a par with Hibs.

Having said that injuries are part and parcel of the game, and especially at international level, canít be used as an excuse.

The result was not a total surprise to me.......recently Jordan only went down 1-2 to Croatia.

Another Ďdark horseí could be Qatar, who have had a couple of close encounters with a couple of European countries recently.

I still think the Winners will come from Japan or South Korea, but Saudi Arabia and Iran cannot be discounted.
