Since we have 3 players called up to the Australia squad we have been offered the opportunity to postpone the Hearts fixture. Hibs have turned down the offer.

We beat Celtic without those 3 in the team.

If we get an injury to Kamberi or Shaw in the next games it's going to leave us very very short up front.
Boyle especially is a big miss as we have very little width with Aygepong also injured.

Interesting. Must have a plan for it that doesn't require Boyle, Milligan or Maclaren. With Gray, Hanlon, Agyepong, Mavrias, Marv and now rocky missing I might've said yes to a postponement.

Will they all still be missing for the derby though?

Terrible decision. I'm in England, with no access to a TV, on the 29th so they really should have consulted me before making such a selfish decision.

I'd return my season ticket if I had one.

Depending on when the re arranged game would be, Hearts have a few key players missing too, they might be back by the re arranged fixture. But if we are planning on strengthening big time in January I'd have taken the postponement like!

I can just seen the threads on here now if we lose the Derby...
We better pray nothing happens to Shaw or Kamberi in next week or we really are Donald Ducked

Correct decision, why should we give them the benefit of potentially having additional players back in their squad plus this new guy coming in??

Correct decision in terms of many supporters probably already making financial and Work commitments to be able to attend the match on the date set

I don’t know why we didn’t take the option. Chance to get players back and a breather in a jam packed December schedule.

I’m glad we didn’t postpone or that would’ve ruined my all day drinking plans

Crazy if we were offered a postponement and didn't take it, appreciate it would spoil some plans but from a purely football perspective, it's a no brainer.

Quite right, the only one of the 3 probably needed is Boyle and he's been struggling recently.

Momentum is key IMO and we are getting things back on track - lets keep in going.

A brave decision, but I wouldn’t have expected Hibs to make a song and dance about it. Prepare in our usual manner without too much noise and hopefully we still have plenty to see off Hearts.

To be fair, we knew Milligan and MacLaren were Australian when we signed them so there shouldn't really be any surprises. As for Boyle, although we have known about it for a few months, it is still a bit of a blow.....perhaps more so concerning the injuries rather than form. It's a brave decision not to postpone if we indeed had the option, I just hope we have a few other players back from injury if not just for confidence and psychologically for the players who are fully fit going into it. Seeing a few seasoned pros on the bench could be the boost to the players starting against hearts
