True Hibs legend. Deserves all the success that comes his way.

No surprise he’s already a fan favourite at Villa. Matter of time before he’s plying his trade in the EPL

Great response from him though. Is it any wonder he's still greatly respected here. True professional, and hopefully going a long way in the game.

McGinn says he’s back up next weekend. Maybe a half time appearance against Livi, be nice to give him a good reception if so

I can only assume that after representing the originals with distinction for three years, moving to the lesser greens would have felt like too much of a step down.

Basically said it was a long process where celtic made multiple bids but couldn’t agree a deal with hibs. He had his heart set on a move to celtic as he was a season ticket holder for 15 years but realised celtic weren’t going to stump up the money then when villa came in he saw it as a huge club and decided to take that move

Also mentioned that it was unsettling for him through the process with Celtic but stayed professional as he could for hibs

Hibs fans/ club/ players realised that the time had come for him to move on. Celtic was a dream move but dragged on and became difficult for him. Villa came along and he was blown away. He was never going to go anywhere else

Definitely tells celtc that their pathetic wee multiple offers was why they missed out.

Even funnier when you watch Scott Brown embarrassing himself by hacking his way through the game and losing out to Horgan most of the time.

And the cherry on the cake was watching Ntcham repeatedly doing things that Mcginn couldn't do if he was drunk, blindfolded and had his ankles taped together because McGinn is simply too good to play that poorly.

    Celtc needed McGinn.
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

Ntcham and eduardo are pretty poor value for money. Ntcham looks like he has concrete boots on.

Thank god he was in the stand today and not in the Celtic midfield.

Mind you the ball boy would maybe have had him for breakfast too!!

To think Celtic wouldn’t stump up £3m for SJM, but we’re happy to pay £9m for that french dud up front 😂😂

Wouldn't say he is a dud. I guarantee he sells for more.

He is young, and a little inconsistent right now.

    But does score goals!

Who do you think will sign him for more than £9m?

I don’t think he’ll be back next weekend, Villa are playing on Sunday next week.

I think the confusion came from that wonderful presenter Hayley McQueen saying he was injured but SJM soon put her right, she then said something about him being back next week.

Ah....ok. I didn't hear it HG.....I had just read Hibeesmads post earlier in the thread. Still a possibility though as Villa are at home. John played yesterday for Villa
