Cummings substituted after an hour in what was presumably a pre arranged move.

28 degrees and he’s only had 2 training sessions it appears.

Can be more than happy with his debut and should be full of confidence from here

Goal for JC. Excellent finish in off both posts.
What we miss, someone who takes a shot and scores from outside the box. Excluding Boyle, when was the last time we scored from outside the box, excluding yesterday's fluke.

    Final score Sydney 3 v Mariners2

Jason interviewed after the game and spoke sensibly!

Said the heat affected him at first but he adjusted to it and had to get more acclimatised.

When asked basically said he hopes to do sufficiently well to give him a chance of breaking into the Socceroo squad, but his first priority was to the Mariners etc etc.

Football Federation of Australia Cup Final about to kick off in Melbourne

Melbourne Victory v Central Coast Mariners

Central Coast is Jason Cummings new club but he’s ineligible for tonight’s game as he was signed after the deadline date to play in the final.

    I’m tipping Victory 2-1

Jason playing up to the cameras, never misses an opportunity! How is he legible to play for Australia?

We don't even shoot from outside the box very often. Pleased to see that Mueller is willing to try though, I'm guessing he'll get us a goal or 2 from distance, hopefully starting from today.

I like Jamie, but the reality is that strikers get a lot, lot more time and room to settle on the ball in the A League than a Scottish Premier Division defence would give you in a month of Sundays.

He was an OK striker with us, but is a superstar out here.

Jason Cummings will do well here too.

Jason Cummings makes his home debut for Central Coast Mariners against Macarthur tonight (Thursday evening 10/2 Sydney time)

Dunno whether its being shown in Scotland, but worth a look if it is.

Pretty sure Jason will be amused by the Sauce Bottles at the one end of the ground.
