Dreadful. I watch a lot of it on Sat and Sunday Mornings. Roy O'Donovan and Scott McDonald are regulars there. O'Donovan got a hatrick last week against Maclaren's mob

Think we should have a look at him the sort of penalty box striker we could do with.

Took his second goal well an excellently taken goal in any standard of football he even scored a penalty 😁

Yep seen the second half, very generous penalty to be fair and he done brilliantly setting up the second goal.

I watch it quite often at the weekends and certainly wouldn't class it as awful. Its a lot slower pace than here but I wouldnt say the quality is all that much worse.

Yes agree a real mix of quality some very good players some not so good. Must be a very tempting place to go for a season or two. Noticed Craig Noone was playing for Melbourne ex Cardiff winger always thought was a decent player.

As a long term Oz fitba follower, I agree.

In fact I think technically, it’s of a higher standard than the SPFL, but as pointed out, is certainly slower.

Jamie Mac was/is a star here partly due to the absence of very close marking by defenders, which is certainly nothing near like what happens in Scotland.

Fitba changed in Oz in 2005 when the A League kicked off in place of the old NSL, and while there have been many benefits off the pitch, many of us from the older generation believe that the standard of player being produced is not like it was pre A League days.

    Sound familiar?

And ex Bolton striker Adam Le Fondre Is scoring goals for Sydney.

If he said he’d like to play for Hibs, I wouldn’t so much as Drive him to the airport, as pilot his Jumbo Jet to Turnhouse!

Also, can see Boyler playing out here when his Easter Road career comes to an end.

Unfortunately both McGowans are out here, and play for rival Sydney clubs.

Yep, the ref was the only person globally I think who didn’t see the City attacker hurling himself to the ground.

A seat in the stands next week for the ref I think.

One good thing and I haven't seen lots of games but vast majority of the teams try and play decent passing style of football.

Heading off soon to the Perth Glory v Sydney game. Rematch of last year's grand final that the bad guys won (boo!).
Revenge would be nice, but Glory haven't really clicked yet this season, so not feeling very confident. We seriously miss Jason Davidson at left wingback and, to a slightly lesser extent, Matt Spiranovic at centre half. They brought the ball forward out of defence really well and allowed us to build attacks from the back. The Castro/Ikonomidis/Fornarolli forward line should rip A league defences apart, but ball movement forward has been a bit too slow and deliberate so far. Hopefully all change tonight and we stick a few past one half of the Ozzy Ugly Sisters

    Remember the cannon right enough

Seems like a long time ago now
The cannon next to the sauce bottles was just fired at full time to celebrate the Mariners 1-0 victory over Western United.

Ziggy Gordon had an excellent goal line clearance.
