    Brandon Barker

Sun claiming his 'cryptic' social media post says he's now a done deal to return. Great if true.

    Would certainly welcome his return.
Interesting how this affects Agyepong (which is apparently a done deal).

For me, both would be an odd balance in the team since I can see scenarios where there isn't even one starting berth for left wing and I can't see scenarios where there is room for both.

    From the sun:

BRANDON BARKER has hinted that a deal for a return to Hibs is done.

The Man City winger had a hugely successful spell at Easter Road last season.

The 21-year-old took to social media to upload an image with a handshake emoji to his Instagram story.

It comes just days after he posted a picture of himself in a Hibs top, complete with a shocked face emoji.

Perhaps NL saw something else in BB or Agyepong that may mean not playing in position we may expect.

    Stokes and Hendo from Celtic?

Wouldn't surprise if Lawell has told us "no Mcginn deal, no Allan deal" just to be spiteful

Lennon played Barker through the middle on occasion... Barker now, Allan nxt year?

Not sure to be honest. But Barker's a left winger who is (mainly) right-footed. Agyepong is a left winger who is two-footed. Better options for the team in midfield and attack if both come.

No not quite. 3 great additions yes but all flair players. Would still need the midfield general type that McGinn is

I believe that is just SPFL rule i.e we couldnt have 2 celtic players on loan as we are in the same division, but we could when we were in the Championship. Don;t see why it would be any different if it were a English team

As long as the clubs aren't in the same division.

Or one starts and is told to gie it laldy and terrorises defenders for 65 minutes, the other comes on for the last 25 minutes and gies it even more laldy against already terrorised and traumatised defenders.

For a certain poster's sake, I really, really hope they're right. Ideally announced at 5pm today.

This English transfer window business is interesting.

The Scottish League (and other leagues I suppose) could be heavily influenced by the destination of English cast-offs over the next month.

Ourselves and others might find ourselves with some players on loan who are better than we are used to.

    This would be fantastic

Barker, Agyepong, Mulumbu and Allan sign, with the board assuming McGinn will go to Villa. McGinn sees the makings of a quadruple winning squad and pulls the plug on the deal.

........then Rod Petrie wakes up and has to face a "Spud from Trainspotting" scenario.

I'd be surprised if Lawell said that. We may well find he bumps the price up - possibly by too much - but the deal is there.

On the second bit, while Barker can play through the middle he's a completely different player to Allan.
BB is a guy you give the ball to an let him run at the opposition to either cross (wing) or get a shot off (middle).
He's not got the ball skills to cut a team apart with passing.

Just had a look at the photo - has to be the most tenuous link to a transfer ever. The photo's of his car stereo, FFS.

The EFL clubs loan deadline is the 31st so plenty of premier players could end up in the Championship .

Barker better not be winding us up . Maybe he's been reading about how gullible hibs fans can be with this bleed Green character
