The game is so slow with all the TMO guff that's it's barely watchable. Football going the same way with VAR. Rubbish.

I agree, I think that they are looking for offences rather than the main thing to check. Yeah, they got the grounding of the ball by Hogg, but it was the third thing they checked.

    Another TMO

    Aussie try.

How many of the Aussie are called Santos. 😉

Disallowed because of a soft wipe out.

I was more thinking about the double movement of the try scorer.

Saying that they have a penalty

I thought we were superb today. Fewer mistakes at the breakdown, fewer handling errors, and we played some good, expansive rugby.

We were maybe a wee bit lucky Fagerson didn't see a card for his post-clean-out shennanigans, but the ref and TMO were spot on in disallowing the try. In the stadium, I thought the referee gestured for a double-move as soon as the try happened but all of the focus was on the clear-out. I thought he was lucky not to see red at the time, as both feet were off the ground and he launched himself into the pile, making contact with the head area.

Australia are a great side - fast, strong, powerful and we limited them to very little. Watson was outstanding today - as were Gilchrist, Hogg, Ritchie...ach, it would be a long list.
Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

I enjoyed myself yesterday, I wasn’t sure what to expect but the catering the stewarding and speed of getting served was way way better than the Hibs fan experience, although some of that will be the one off nature of the event. It wasn’t all that noisy even after the try, and most of the atmosphere seemed a bit artificially generated, fireworks, pumping music etc. And yes, there were a load more toffs (one boy next to me was singing along to Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond in a way you wouldn’t get at Easter Road, let’s put it like that).

    I’m definitely still fitba.

I agree, we made Australia look quite average tbh, and I didn’t think we played amazingly well, just solid, sensible, team rugby

I hope the six nations is still on terrestrial TV. I'd like to see some rugby at least before it goes the way of golf, cricket, football and boxing.

I don’t think anything has changed. It looks to me like Amazon have kicked the autumn tests on as a money spinner.

can't see us posing too many problems for South Africa

lets see though :) keeping it close will do me

SA already quite confident kicking penalties into touch instead of taking shots at the posts

13 mins played and scotland already given away six penalties, too much physicality in the world champions side

brilliant breakaway by van der merwe, finn russell pops over the penalty after 15 mins of sustained pressure

russell kicks a 2nd penalty wide

too many penalties, next one will see someone sin binned

    3-3

took their time 1st try 28 mins, of course it came from another Scottish passing error

    conversion pulled, 3-8

try hogg, hope they don't look back for a possible forward pass earlier, i think skinner passed forward

    given

    8-8

    10-8

    i'm taking a screenshot

scottish penalty in added time :) i can't belief Russell freakin missed that, fgs

Amazon Prime haven't got this quite right, you don't have HT analysis with only a present player and ex-player from the away nation

that try came from van der merwe mistake over the other side

that's how to take a conversion finn russell :( 10-15

SA turning the screw now 10-18

    10-21

nice to see us going for the line-out instead of taking the points

    yas try Hogg 15-21

followed by yet another missed conversion from russell

two dreadful line-outs, make that three goodness sake, so poor

SA capitalise on that one 15-24

    15-27

    4th poor line out

So poor at the breakdown. Giving away continuous penalties.

    15-30

ritchie was like a cart-horse there with quick ball from russell

This is why SA are world champs and have just beaten the Lions. So difficult to play against, huge men, disciplined, work their ***** off, skilful at the breakdown, set pieces so strong, force you into mistakes. Positives to take but we'll beaten in the end

Disappointing 2nd half from Scotland, SA moved up a couple of gears and Scotland struggled, poor scrummaging and far too many silly penalties, need an 80 minute game and not just turn up for the odd 40 mins.

ireland have battered New Zealand for 30 mins but it's 5-10

quite astonising this New Zealand have made over 150 tackles against 37 and ireland still behind

    HT 5-10

deserved try ireland 10-10 missed conversion

New Zealand will be very glad to finally get some ball in the other half

i've never saw a game where the players are questioning the referee so much, it's creeping in with rugby

another irish try, at least New Zealand will get some ball in the other half from the restart, maybe

    17-10

20-10 will the real New Zealand finally step up
