Edinburgh superb yesterday they are a great side.

I think with the Munster result they might have a home semi now?

Disappointing end to the season for Edinburgh. It’ll be interesting this coming season as Edinburgh settle into their new stadium and go again. Lot of great potential in this team. I really hope Townsend calls van der Merwe at the first opportunity. He’s a machine!
Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

Van der Merwe is a certainty to be in the next Scotland squad. Not only is he an excellent player, it's why he was brought here, a project Scotland player.

Edinburgh's poor form continues. Absolutely dominated all over the field tonight by a vastly improved Ospreys team who outfought us all over the pitch. Glasgow also lose their opener away to Connacht.

Delighted to see Gregor recall Finn to the squad for Friday night's game, but more importantly, it's fantastic to see Duhan being called into his first Scotland squad. He'll be a huge player for us!

two weeks running i've been up watching the box and two weeks running i've forgot the all-blacks v australia bledisloe cup games, 27-7 this week after a 16-16 draw last week so new zealand need just one win from remaining two games to be played in Oz.

Just watched this, what is it that NZ have got right re Covid that enables them to allow such a big crowd into a sporting event?

I spoke to a guy today who's daughter was a last weeks game , no masks , no social distancing

I read that the week before the match they only had 1 new case of covid 19 in the whole country. They have pretty much eliminated it by taking ultra tough measures at the start such as shutting their borders etc.

Good professional performance. Some basic errors but that’s to be expected in the 1st game of the season. Very impressive use of the driving maul which isn’t something Scotland have historically been good at. And Georgia are usually tough up front. Would have liked to have seen some more expansive play and get the backs involved more but maybe not ideal conditions for that. Thought we looked markedly more threatening when Russell came on.

Very happy with tonight's result and performance. Fraser Brown was fantastic, as were Darcy Graham, Jamie Ritchie and Blair Kinghorn. Thought Finn added something extra when he came on too, and you can really see what van der Merwe is going to add to this team - him on one wing and Graham on the other bodes well for pace and power on the flanks.

Quite disappointed with Adam Hastings tonight - his kicks in open play were alright, but his conversions were poor.

agree, Scotland’s pack in general played well, as has already been mentioned, the driving maul was a weapon not often displayed by Scotland.

Finn Russell changed the dynamics of the game, the ball was moving more quickly and more purposefully. I find Hastings to be quite a conservative fly half, Russell brings an X factor that makes his team much more dangerous.

overall, a very professional performance, the type of result that too often Scotland haven’t turned in, in previous times we’d have hugged and puffed to a fairly narrow victory, this is more like what a NZ, Australia, SA, or an England would do. No fuss, just get the job done in a comfortable manner. I’ve criticised Townsend a lot, but he needs to be given credit here.

Plenty positives from lasts nights game . Generally Scotland never usually play that well in the first of the autumn test matches so it was good to get a convincing victory even if Georgia weren't that great . Good confidence builder for the next weekends game which will a tough match but not unwinnable I'd say . Finn ads that extra X factor to the team so it good to see that they've come to their senses and sorted out their differences
