All this chat of a Championship player could just a wind up to get a frenzy going as this thread has been dead for weeks now.

Lennon saying we're after 4/5, looking to get signings done as soon as this tie is over, before next weeks game. According to Evening news.

As expected lots is depending on what happens with the SJM deal. Hopefully can sort this out sooner rather than later to allow players a chance to train and be ready for next Euro tie.

Looking at some of the championship strikers who are into their last year of the contract, just to get an idea if they are signing permanently:
    Hooper
    Nugent
    Jerome
    Le Fondre
    Crouch
    Billy Sharp
    Eoin Doyle
    Clayton Donaldson

Some names there, I suppose it might not be someone who's in their last year of contract.
Le Fondre. We used to always be linked with him.

Be nice to get a couple in before next weeks tie - I’m sure that will be a sell out.

Liam Henderson to Verona (staying in Div 2)

Yams sign another keeper Colin Doyle who has same agent as Berra and a few other Yam players. 33 year old - bit dodgy but played against France - where he made an error for a goal and then USA recently.

Yams must be looking to sign the most players out of all the Teams This was supposed to be a Transitional Year So scatter gun approach and hope for the best But with new Pitch also Laid you have to start wondering if they are back to living out with their means again but Budge is being very subtle about it
Why don't we have Anonymous Donors and what happened to the Authorities promise of Financial Transparency embedded into Sporting Integrity
Oh yes that needs to wait till The Rangers have sorted themselves out

I think that’s 13 players they have now brought in now including 3 goalies.

Not sure how many have escaped the asylum?

Same with John Rankin, how many windows and different managers was he linked with us for before we eventually signed him.

Would love to see their player turnover since they were promoted

Not to be a bit of a soor pus but it doesn't say we are after 4 or 5 players - it says 4 or 5 options which could mean 4 or 5 players or equally looking at 4 or 5 options for 2 positions so 2 players to come in ... either way we need at least 6 😁

I'm glad you're not in charge of our recruitment then. Doyle is garbage.
    Eoin Doyle?

You're probably right. With Murray leaving, we need at least 2 strikers in, 2 centre mids ideally, with potentially a winger or two.

He didn't score very often and when he did it was usually because it bounced off of his butt while he was facing the wrong way.

On the winger front, nothing seems to be happening on the Brandon Barker situation. I don’t see him going places at MC so presume he will be farmed out soon. He has declared an interest in returning to ER so here’s hoping we might get a sudden pleasant surprise before the English window closes.

I didn’t mind Doyle when he was last with us and his performances and scoring rate was much improved when he went to England.

Sorry I can’t be specific but I read it in a couple of articles in the media. It might have been paper talk but you never know.

Neither part of that statement is true.

Doyle was a very clever player, with good movement, and his two seasons with us were only the second and third that he'd actually been used as a centre forward. He'll be ever better now and has good scoring ratios down south. I reckon he'd do very well in our current team.

Don't think we'd have been in anywhere near as much trouble in 2014 if he hadn't left us.

Doyle was a bit raw when he was with us (which you would expect having just moved from the Irish league) but he was still a good, effective player.

I suspect he'll have matured and improved since he went to England and will probably be a very decent player now.
