Hibs’ move for Preston North End’s Daryl Horgan is close to being finalised according to assistant boss Garry Parker.

The Irish winger has been linked with a move to Easter Road for a wee while now and Parker confirmed it’s not far off speaking to the press after Paul Hanlon’s testimonial earlier today.

Hibs are confident they can get the 25-year-old in before the Europa League signing deadline on Thursday.

Latest from the DR. Not sure what deadline they are on about though? The games on Thursday, so is there another deadline until then to get extra players in?

The quote from GP was more about "hoping" to get something done. Nothing to suggest that anything was actually agreed and set to be completed. Typical DR speculation based on very little evidence, IMO.

I don’t really know where the DR got that from now...the EEN has actually quoted Parker as saying he doesn’t know where we are with a move for Horgan but we have shown an interest and will see how it develops over the next few days. Hardly the “close to being finalised” that they went with.

No idea if there’s anything in the Bitton rumours but he would be an improvement on Dylan IMO. Which would be a huge surprise.

Never really been particularly impressed by Biton. But, I wasn't sure about Efe and he's done well.

I take Ozyhibby jnr to some of their European games if it’s a top team and I watched him play against Juventus a few years back and he looked the best player on the pitch that night.

We need players ready to hit the ground running, esp. with the Euro qualifiers. Rodgers said Biton wouldn’t be fit to September at the earliest, so not for me.

Bitton was definitely at the game yesterday but as mentioned already he quite often goes to Hibs games as he’s very close to Rocky. Sparky was there too but I doubt we’ll see either playing for Hibs

Think they're probably heading off today so maybe had a day off. Rodgers has done this recently where the team don't actually travel until quite late before a game.

Can’t blame Scotty for having confidence in himself if he’s been told he may get a chance, but I’d be stunned if he got into their team ahead of Rogic, McGregor, Sinclair, Forrest.. even Christie seems more highly rated by Rodgers.
