As far as I can see our best points tallies since 3 points for a win was introduced in 1994 were 66 in 2000/01 and 61 in 2004/05. We finished third in both of those seasons. Just a point needed to set a new best.

Season 2000/01 should probably have been a bigger points haul. We had third place all but sewn up quite early in the season but fell away quite badly in the last 10 games or so. Latapy got sacked and I think Sauzee was carrying an injury in the cup final so things fizzled out a bit. Otherwise I think we'd have had a points tally in the mid 70s.

Anybody got stats on best total points for the top 6 teams this year, celtics best total was last season i think
