No guarantee to make final cut but recent form has helped his cause.

Well he chose well coming to edinburgh

Tim cahill saw only a few minutes action at millwall while jamie has banged them in v rangers*, celtc & hearts in pressure games.

He has made the first target then. Hopefully he can fire himself on to make the headlines in the two games left.

Think I saw that the coach has chosen 7 forwards, so he'll have to keep working hard in the last two games to secure his place this time.

Absolutely brilliant decision by Lennon bringing in a player who has a real personal target for the end of the season.

Should do his confidence no harm either and confident forwards tend to find the net.

Hopefully he gets picked over 80 year old Tim Cahill this time.

Well done Jamie Mac. Be good if he makes it. Wonder who was the last Hibs player to appear in a World Cup. Think De la Cruz had left us when he appeared for Equador. Or maybe he hadn't. Jackson in France 98?

de la Cruz played in the 2002 World Cup and was then sold iirc.

He'd better practise his penalties or even the kangaroos won't speak to him.

He needs to score in the final two games, and he will be aware of the Socceroo coach’s comments that ‘he won’t pick a forward who is not currently scoring goals,.

I don’t think Cahill, although an Aussie icon, will make the final cut.

I think Jamie has a chance, but as I say he needs to hit the net.

Definitely the case. Graham Taylor was the ITV co-commentator at the World Cup and had a massive love-in whenever DLC played. It was so obvious he was going to put a bid in for him off the back of that.

It’s turned out to be a shrewd signing from Lennon. It also shows others that playing for Hibs give a fine platform from which to demonstrate your talents.

Goals in the next two games should just about clinch Jamie a place in the world cup, so get in there and do it!

Unfortunately his team are not in the relegation zone anymore, deal may be more difficult
