God knows why - hating this international break when it could be Hibs instead.
Anyway, rules are only one player from any club in any era. Player must preferably have been in their heyday at the club you select them from - eg Stanton at Hibs trumps Stanton at Celtc. So if you select Stanton in your 11 or 5 subs he takes out any other Hibs player if they were in their prime at Hibs. Any club in the world counts.
1. Goram at Rangers to start or Leighton at Man U?

Classic 4-4-2 here (with traditional numbers). All players from 93 onwards. Loads I'm working on just now so I'll have made loads of mistakes and I had to leave subs out!
1 Goram - Motherwell (Rangers era)
2 McKimmie - Dundee United (Aberdeen time)
3 C Davidson - St Johnstone
4 Le God - Marseilles
5 W Miller - Aberdeen
6 Colin Hendry - Dundee (Blackburn time)
7 D Cooper - Clydebank (Rangers era)
8 Gascoigne - Rangers
9 Dalglish - Celtic (Liverpool time)
10 Darren Jackson - Hearts (Hibs time)
11 Michael O'Neill - Ayr - Hibs timeLast edited by heidtheba; 27-03-2018 at 07:32 PM. Reason: Spelling!

Goram was immense at Rangers, but it uses up your Rangers player that might be better taken elsewhere in the team.
Taking Goram whilst at Hibs might be a decent shout, or Roughy from Partick Thistle.
Goram (Hibs)
McGrain (Celtic)
Hendry (Blackburn)
Miller (Aberdeen)
Malpas (Dundee United)
Robertson (Forest)
Lambert (Borussia Dortmund)
Strachan (Man Utd)
Cooper (Rangers)
Archibald (Spurs)
Dalglish (Liverpool)
Maybe Denis Law of Torino for Archibald, or Jim Baxter for Davie Cooper?
Was torn between Miller or McLeish from Aberdeen.

Alan Rough (Partick Thistle)
John Brownlie (Hibs)
Colin Hendry (Blackburn)
Willie Miller (Aberdeen)
Maurice Malpas (Dundee Utd)
Gordon Strachan (Man Utd)
Graeme Souness (Liverpool)
Archie Gemmill (Notts Forest)
Willie Johnston (West Brom)
Kenny Dalglish (Celtic)
Joe Jordan (Leeds Utd)

It's tricky isn't it?
I don't know how you guys have managed to come up with an 11 that quickly, I'm still thinking about batches of players for positions!

I would have Jim Baxter (Rangers) and Denis Law (Man United) in for starters. Dave Mackay (Spurs) is certainly worth a punt.
Why have none of the Famous Five got a mention?
I did consider Frank Haffey (Celtic) for goalkeeper but thought better of it.

Have tried to go with players at the teams where they peaked (other than Andy Robertson at Hull) and probably a bias towards players in the 80s who I grew up watching. Defence is still an issue but abundance of top strikers.
1. Goram (Rangers)
2. Gough (Tottenham)
3. Robertson (Hull)
5. Hendry (Blackburn)
6. Miller (Aberdeen)
8. Strachan (Manchester Utd)
4. McStay (Celtic)
10. Collins (Monaco)
11. Sturrock (Dundee Utd)
7. Dalglish (Liverpool)
9. Nicholas (Arsenal)
Subs: M Johnston (Nantes); E Black (Metz); A Gray (Everton); Archibald (Hibs)

No mention yet of Jimmy Johnstone. Maybe 'cos he never seemed to be consistently at his best in a Scotland shirt?
Plenty mentions for Archibald but Griffiths wouldn't be far away in my book 'cos of his prowess with a free kick.
