Just rubbish timing to get an injury... from a Scotland POV..... but perhaps from our POV could this press him to agree contract terms with us?

His injury record makes him a gamble for most teams, and the publicity surrounding this latest setback surely will put some potential suitors off.

On the flip side, yet another injury from nowhere will send alarm bells out to the likes of Aberdeen and other suitors who have witnessed Hibs having to support DM for long spells injured and make them think carefully before jumping in with big money offers. I fear that these two games were his opportunity to break into Scotland, and it might be some time before that happens again.

Midfield is Scotland strongest position, and if DM is not selected for summer friendlies (still injured or focusing on contract) then I think he'll have trouble breaking into the competitive game squad in Sept/Oct.
