    Gordon Smith wasn’t at Hearts long enough to have as great a career with them as he had at Hibs.However he played well and I think scored over a dozen goals in the league winning year which would be better than he’d managed over the previous three or four seasons.As you know he went on to Dundee where he also played well although he wasn’t as mobile.He was the sort of player by that stage that even when having an off day looked good.Of course the hair and sun tan helped
