Need a strong ref as hearts will set out to hack down the likes of Allan and McGinn as thats the only way they can cope with them. Any players who likes to get the ball down and play any sort of proper football are always prime targets for the hearts gang - especially one Levein is behind!

The best of a bad bunch.

Did he not send Rolf and Caveman to the third row behind the dugouts at their recent Hamilton debacle? I think the SFA have a sense of humour after all. Who is 4th official? Clancy?

I agree, but for some reason hearts fans seem to detest Madden.

    United we stand here....

Yep, probably cause Jamie Walker always got correctly booked for diving and he never put up with the rest of their sheight.

Think he was the ref v Hamilton when Austin McCann had set to with Darian McKinnon that caused their dislike

    What a moment this is!
    It's Liam Henderson to deliver......

Steven McLean was partly to blame for us not winning at Tynie in December

What are the odds on big Marv getting a Yellow/Red card?

And the 1st Aberdeen game at ER where he let them hack away at our players with no punishment

Glad to have Madden though, a decent ref who doesn't cause controversy unlike his peers

Jambos seem to think he’s rather card happy. Will suit us hopefully and stop their hoof and boot tactics in their tracks.

This season, statistically speaking, he has handed out more bookings than most of the other "top" referees.

Dallas - 3.7 yellow cards per game 0.19 red cards per game
Madden - 3.7 yellow cards per game 0.17 red cards per game
Collum - 3.6 yellow cards per game 0.26 red cards per game
Thomson - 3.4 yellow cards per game 0.3 red cards per game
Beaton - 3.4 yellow cards per game 0.13 red cards per game
McLean - 3.2 yellow cards per game 0.07 red cards per game

Not as short as the odds on Adao.
