    MacLaren in Socceroo Squad!

Jamie MacLaren has just been named in a 29 man squad for friendlies against Norway and Colombia this month.

His move to Hibs has paid dividends!

Hopefully he can celebrate by scoring on Friday!

Pleased for him, hope he plays well and doesn't get injured.

No Martin Boyle in the squad?

The Socceroo's will be my chosen World Cup team if he's announced in that squad!

One is in Norway, one is in London.

He's in the preliminary squad, but will have a job making the final cut. A couple of goals in a televised game on Friday might help!

He's waiting to be named in the Scotland squad instead.

At least now he knows his name is in the frame so to speak. I like his energy and his movement is good, but if he's going to make it to Russia he needs to start scoring .. and soon.

Could work in our favour, he still needs to earn his place in the finalised squad so will be keen to impress. Likewise if he hadn't been named, might have been a blow to his confidence

I get the feeling once he gets his first (from open play) he will go on a bit of a run

I'll have a couple of quid on that. Will wait to make he's starting though. Can see him grabbing the ball again if we get a penalty.

Hopefully he’ll make it to the finals so I can a team to support along with the Super Eagles.

I’m guessing Marvin Bartley won’t get the call now.
