Anyone see what was going on with the pitch side photographers prior to and after the equalising goal? Some steward seemed to be flexing his muscle ordering them about over something and a few angry words looked to be exchanged before the police had to come in. One guy appeared that cheesed off he packed up and went elsewhere. No idea what it was all about.

Polis/stewards v photographers

The steward was trying to help those in the wheelchair section who had their view of the pitch even more obscured than it already was thanks to the positioning of the photographers (Rugby Park being another ground in the long line of Scottish football grounds which has deplorable disabled viewing areas).
The photographer who argued with the steward the most had asked us if we could see at the start of the game based on where he was sitting, which we could. At that point he was on his own. Then his two mates turned up and his positioning changed at the start of the second half. The steward asked us if we could see and my mum said she couldn't see the far away goal at all, thanks to where the photographers were sitting.
When the photographers moved over to their right, the other people in the shelter then had their view blocked so complained to the same steward. He then asked them to move even further along to the side which it looks like they initially refused to do. That's when the police got involved.
The steward then came over to us and apologised and said it was something they would need to review at the end of the game. He said he couldn't understand why the photographers couldn't sit over the other side of the stand where there was no wheelchair area.
Very ignorant behaviour from the photographers and for once the steward was actually doing their job to the benefit of the supporters.Last edited by Sir David Gray; 25-02-2018 at 10:41 AM.

well done to the steward in this case, we're always quick to criticise them so credit where it’s due

That explains it SDG - I had forgot that the area for disabled fans was right at front. The view must be awful down there, and shouldn't really be acceptable in the modern day.
Sounds like the police and stewards were doing the right thing then

If they wanted to be at a corner flag, one the same side of the pitch as the managers, they could have positioned themselves in front of the south stand, which was completely empty
