"... It's a huge honour to be offered the position however, I do not feel that this is the right opportunity for me at this moment in my career. I would like to place on record my gratitude to the SFA for the very professional manner in which they conducted negotiations ..."

Stewart Regan told him about the armageddon if he didn’t sign, Campbell Ogilvie tried to convince him with a side letter and he still said no???

Maybe he didn't fancy working with the blazers at the cross between a bowling Club committee and Masonic Lodge membership that is responsible for steering the clowns bicycle that is Scottish football, they appointed Malky MacKay FFS. Just shuffling managers around won't solve Scottish football's problems. They should go the whole hog and appoint Malky as manager.
"I did not need any persuasion to play for such a great club, the Hibs result is still one of the first I look for"

Plan B not available either now (paul lambert)
Step down Alex Mcleish.......the only candidate we only ever wanted.
FWIW I wasn’t convinced about Michael O’Neill but the way it’s all been done has been a shambles.

I’m not sure either that MO’N was the man. Horses for courses etc.

Obviously Huns Disease is highly contagious, sweeping across Glasgow from Govan to Mount Florida.

Hardly a surprise. Petrie bringing his reverse Midas touch to the SFA as well.

Suspect Mcleish will get the job.
Looking at SkyBet odds there really aren't many genuine candidates, hopefully this means the SFA have to use their imagination and think outside the box a little.

Why do we need a manager? Every citizen should get a vote on the squad.

Tailor made for Sven Goran Eriksson.
Could cause a flutter or two in the corridors of power.

Me too...not convinced about him at all...so was not excited by the prospect.
Tbh..even if I did fancy him fore the role.what's in it for him? Despite my personal views, he already has a track record at international level that should help him get a decent club role. Also NI are offering him higher package than we are, so not sure why he would want to take the job on anyway.. decision does not surprise me in any way.

Is Rod Pertie on the sub committee (there just had to be a committee with the SFA involved, didnt there)... if RP is, and I suspect that he is, then are we surprised at this failure as he overseen some of the most baffling and pathetic appointments of managers at Hibs during his tenure.

The money they were willing to spend to get him was ridiculous, not fussed that they didn't get their man.
The way they've handled this appointment is ridiculous.

Hopefully we can get a manager who realises our strength lies with our forward thinking players and sets us up accordingly.
PM Awards General Poster of The Year 2015, 2016, 2017. Probably robbed in other years
