    Boyle has signed extended contract

One comment made by NL at the AGM tonight that Squirrel has signed and new extended contract. Was gushing about how good he has been and the improvements he has made to his game. Was humorous with the comment "When I came here he was always on his backside". "Still only six stone dripping wet" but has learned to ride tackles and stay on his feet while adding great goals to his game.

Didn't give more detail about the contract but has to be great news

Great news. I said before the season started that he'd be an important player for us.

    He's fast becoming my favourite.

He has become one our best players, and added to that improvement has been consistency. Signing him on a new deal is excellent news.

We would need a seven figure sum to replace a dangerous winger with pace. This is brilliant news and well done Hibs

    Great news!
It's hard not to like Boyle.
Watching him run at opposition defenders is exciting.
His game has gone up a few notches under Neil lennon's watch.
Definitely now one of the top players in the SPL.

This is probably the best piece of business we could realistically do right now. Superb news.

Clearly Squirrel has pulled his nuts out of his sack and given us all an early Christmas present. Merry Christmas, starman.

Me too. Honourable mention to Paul Hanlon, though.

Has improved massively this year. Great news.

Good to hear. Fingers crossed for Dylan to follow. Building a team around him, Hanlon, Ambrose, Marciano are key when McGinn does inevitably get sold.

kept hoping that he would start this season staying oaf his erse, and get his act together controlling the ba' . he's done both, and to hear that he has signed on again is good news all round

Great news, he always had great pace, and always created trouble for the opposition. He was a bit raw, but has matured into a very good player who is an important part of our team.

Some folk said he was an impact player at best, but i always thought he was more than that. Well done squirrel, for improving and for making it impossible for the manager to leave you out.

Can’t think of a player who’s improved so much in such a short time. You can see he’s more direct and is reading the game much better than when he first came to the club.

I really rate him and am delighted he’s signed on again.

He deserves all the credit in the world for how hard he's worked to improve and add more and more elements to his game. He's got the Lewis Stevenson attitude - never say die, give everything you can and improve as much as you can.

I've always said "If we had eleven players with Lewis' attitude we'd win the league" - we're up to two now, arguably three with Simon Murray - eight to go and we'll raise the Scottish Flag

Do you think your security can keep you in purity, you will not shake us off above or below. Scottish friction, Scottish fiction

Most consistent Scottish defender in our league for almost 2 years now and I'm a critic.

I wouldn't have thought the contract he signed previously was much more than what he was already on, this will be an improved deal with more money and an extra year or two, as has been said he's become an important player for us and the club are rewarding him.
