I really like listening to Adam Buxtons Podcast. Very warm style and interesting guests.

This week got through first series of ‘My Dad Wrote a Porno” original, funny in bits though Id imagine gets a bit samey in Season 2.

I've just found a good one for military history, from Dunkirk to D day, on the iplayer. Felt quite inspired listening to it.

I listen to Wittertainment (I reviewed a film on it once) and Athletico Mince.

Both are excellent and the latter can be burst out laughing funny which is a problem when you're sitting next to someone on the bus etc

I listened to that this morning - a very good listen. Shame it wasn't longer, but where do you stop with content.

I'll bump this and add The Daughter of Time, 14 part historical BBC I player détective thing about Richard I, if that's up your alley.

Golazzo is the new James Richardson Italian football podcast, there's been some excellent episodes already about Maradona at Napoli and the whole Baggio thing. James Horncastle really knows his stuff as well.

I like Dan snows history hit. 30 min podcast where he speaks to a historian on a topic. not anything in great depth but it's quite good for basic learning and encourages further exploration into the topic if it peaks your interest.

Joe rogen experience is usually good, variety of guests and all at least 3 hours long.

Also, dan Carlin’s hardcore history podcast is excellent

Fans of Athletico Mince might like Top Flight Time Machine. Presented by one half of Athletico Mince Andy Dawson and Sam Delaney. Looks back at every season in the English Premier League since it’s conception. Pretty funny, and features more football than Athletico Mince! Available on all the usual platforms.

Ricky Gervais with Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington podcasts are hilarious.

All Killa No Filla is keeping me amused at the moment - a humorous and informative look at serial killers - without laughing at the victims.

Not listened to your one but will add it to my list, it sounds similar to one I listen to called My Favourite Murder. Took me a few episodes to get into it, but it's brilliant, they're currently doing sell out tours all over the world with it, was gutted I couldn't go to Glasgow last weekend. It's hard to explain why it's good, because at first listen, it just kind of sounds like two women talking rubbish to each other, but as I said, after a few episodes they really hit their stride. There's a new episode every week as well as a minisode every week. I binge listened to it over a few months at work.

I’ll give it a go as it does sound very similar. All Killa is also two female comedians chatting about the killers in a humorous way with the odd live recording from their Edinburgh festival shows thrown in.

They are also touring all over the world and have 4 dates for this years festival lined up - they can also be found on Twitter. There are currently 45 episodes available to binge listen to.

I quite like the Fortunately podcast and I listened to a couple of Angry Scotland ones today. Quite funny if you don't mind the swearing.

I listened to a podcast called Dr Death recently, worth a listen. About a spinal surgeon in the US, who doesn't have a great track record...

Just started series 3 of Serial yesterday. On the 4th episode, enjoying it so far.

I neve really liked him when he was playing but the Peter Crouch podcast on BBC sounds is good. I never realised how funny he is. Some brilliant anecdotes about playing at the top level and quite a lot of infantile sweary stupidity as well.

Forest 404 on BBC sounds is a really interesting listen. Post apocalyptic sci-fi drama touching on a load of themes including AI and environmental destruction. Each episode comes with a short essay by an academic. And a soundscape. Makes you think.

If you've never listened to Serial, then it's definitely worth a listen. 2 series. Like 'Making A Murderer' in podcast form.

Freakenomics can be good, depends if the subject they're talking about that episode interests you.
Checked out freakonomics on the basis of this. Really good.i enjoyed the book so was curious. The show on money in American sports was interesting. Shows how poorly scottish football is run.

'The Offensive' is pretty good. It's pretty much if 'The Thick of It' was about running a football club.

James Obriens Unfiltered series has some really good content. The interview with Nigel Owens (international rugby ref) is really good and he's very open.

If you can get over Russell Brand being quite irritating in his interview style some of his Under The Skin episodes are good, Frankie Boyle and Yannis Varoufakis in particular.

I might have mentioned this before but if your looking for a music station with a massive spectrum of shows & tunes that you wont be hearing on msm I cant recommend DDR highly enough https://listen.dublindigitalradio.com

Is there anything else like this you know of?

Not sure if it has been mentioned before but I've been listening to loads of the Desert Island Discs back catalogue when I'm running. I've just been closing my eyes, scrolling and clicking and listening to whatever I land on.

Recently I've heard Bob Mortimer, Ricky Gervais, Ruth Jones, Tom Daley, Tom Kerridge, Jack Whitehall, Louis Theroux, Alan Carr and Jeremy Deller. Some of them I might have chosen, some I wouldn't but it's quite interesting listening to someone you might not choose.

Been listening to DID a lot also it’s very relaxing when I’m sitting doing paperwork.

Steve Jones Of Sex Pistols fame has a radio show in the states called Jonesy’s Jukebox great fun with some cracking guests.

Most times you won’t get music but “In Our Time” is a great listen as a download.

Melvyn Bragg subtly interrogating three experts, usually Oxbridge dons, about something. It could be the Great Schism or it could be why Tesla’s version of electricity didn’t catch on. Or the good and bad points of Pythagoras.

He lets the experts talk but directs them and challenges them.
