On merit. Dylan must be gutted though! Several players in contention.

Well done to Simon, he has played well.

But has any Hibs centre-half ever put in a month like Paul Hanlon just has?

    He's been flawless, consistently superb.

    He'd be my choice.

Well done to him; he's been tremendous and has taken his chance in the side.

Simon is doing well but only played 5 mins against Aberdeen and not at all in the semi. I'd have Dylan and Hanlon ahead of him for the 5 games in October and probably Boyle too.

Always happy to see a Hibs player get an award but Simon is a bit of a strange choice as his first contribution was 24th October.

If it boosts his confidence even more then that's fine by me.

Happy for Simon as he's played well but surely the standout player has been Dylan?

How many games did SM actually play in October?

He hasn’t won it though? Just some guy saying who he thinks will be contenders for it this month.

Going to be controversial here and say that I don't see him even as Hibs best player this month. Was excellent versus Hearts, decent at Motherwell, unlucky not to get awarded his (offside) goal. Thought he was quiet at Killie and until he scored I was really frustrated with him at the weekend..the ball kept bouncing of him. Raw talent, and looks like he has a great work ethic, so I expect him to improve - and his goalscoring record so far has been good. Lo e how direct he is, and does have a good knack of getting in the box at the right time. A long way to go though, and we saw on Saturday the extra quality that Stokes brings to the team.
