At their current rate of progess Hearts will get a 2-2 draw up there in 2048.
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

Not a lot, as expected and widely predicted - Celtic won the league. Hearts were theoretically in contention but that was never taken seriously.

Kilmarnock won the league on goal average. No, wait...

They couldn't have. Goal average was used in the old days. I think someone finished 2nd to it and they campaigned for the much fairer goal difference method.

Seem to recall coming away from a match v Dundee Utd, and Hibees hanging out of cars having won the world cup

There was a stomach bug going round and that meant at least one of their legends somehow failed to make their big day.

They'd got T Shirts made up to celebrate their big day too, shame.

It was the time when Hearts were controversially denied the 1987 European Cup after failing to quality, through losing the domestic competition by falling to two late goals from popular entertainer Bobby Ball. Ball coined the phrase "Rock on Tommy" - believed to be a reference to maroons legend Tommy Walker.

The older Jambos must shudder every time they visit Dens. Flashbacks, cold sweats, the lot.

They also sold loads of 'League Winners 1986' flags before the game. I bet if one came up on eBay now it would sell for a good price!!

I'll never forget the arrogant idiots wearing the winners gear beforehand.

That summed up the generation of yams then and right into the debt laden years of mercer and beyond, not really giving a damn about whose money they were using or where it came from.

I am sure there was one half wit who got a huge big pre Dens Park game tat showing the "faemoose" as the '86 league winners 😂- maybe he was the guy who got it replaced by mad Vlad - oh please tell me it was .
