    Slight digression here, apologies, someone I know was talking about a pub called the 'Sarry heid (Saracen's Head)'. They were told, as tourists, to visit it as it was historic. Any thoughts on that?

    It's now even the real one that was over the road before the newer version appeared or so I was told.

    The Saracen is a **** hole. Used to see Chic Charnley hanging about outside with some dodgy characters.

    Different pub. The Sarry Heid is an ancient pub at the Barras. Chic Charnley's local was on Saracen St. in Possil.
