This has been a very un-Hibs transfer window. Despite initial concern we've got all our targets in prior to the start of the season, and they've all been very good signings.

Any Hibs fans sitting on the fence about buying a ST need to get moving now as we might not see a stronger Hibs core for many years to come. If you said to me 2 months ago that we'd have those 4 guys signed up on contracts ....

I still think we're a wee bit light in the forward areas and maybe 1-2 players short of being capable of challenging Aberdeen and Sevco for 2nd or 3rd.

Time will tell though and hopefully that means the likes of Fraser Murray and Oli Shaw will get some real game time this season as I don't think we can really afford to let either of them go out on loan.

As it stands we have a squad of 23 (22 really as think Graham will leave) including the likes of Porteous, Martin, Shaw etc...thats pretty decent size wise mate with Commons perhaps to come. Think u need to appreciate the number of high earners we will have the likes of Whittaker, Ambrose, Slivka and Stokes won't have come cheap...this has been a pretty stunning summer so far....1 more at most I reckon and that's only if Graham departs

If I had been told at the end of last season that Hibs would sign Whittaker, Swanson, Murray, Stokes and re-sign Marciano and Ambrose as well as retaining the core of the team from last season, I would have called the messenger delusional.

All that and the prospect of Commons to come!

I suspect that some pruning of the squad will happen either by transfers (Graham) or loans (Shaw etc.)
