Hopefully a comfortable win today and a place in the second round, plus our first look at Dave n' Vic. Team news?

We don't need Bartley against Alloa.

i would have stuck a couple of younger plaers on the bench today, not sure why we need 4 defenders on the bench

Why? No many other options to be fair

Too defensive minded, stick Whitty in midfield and play Gray.

With Gray suspended for next week I'm assuming he's trying to get as close to his starting 11 as possible.

McGregor didn't play last week so giving him game time to ensure he doesn't go 3 weeks without a game

I know Whittaker is good going forward but I'm not sure putting a defender in midfield and bringing on another defender would change a whole lot, plenty of players in that team that can hurt the opposition IMO. Bartley gives the whole midfield the freedom to roam and get forward in numbers, he expertly covers the team against counter attacks which will make him so important to us this season. Let's see how it goes anyway!

Just giving him some minutes; won't be for tactical reasons

Porteous could be an option up front…

Too defensive minded so you'd play an extra defender?

Whitty is a more attack minded midfielder than Bartley is what he is saying. Yes he can play defence but as a midfielder he is also very talented.

I could see whitty as a potential challenger for Bartley if he proves he can break up play as well as support the attack.

And three of them Centre halves. Surprising to see 3 Centre halves on the bench for any game.
